Gritty hard fought win, every player did just what was needed to win. The T-Wolves are one of the best teams in the league and gutting out a road win required what was produced. The overall defense was excellent in combating the size difference as well as their focus on the offensive end. Minnesota is #1 on defense for a reason we shot bad because they have excellent rotations and length. We have an excellent version of defense as well when we execute. That allowed us to stay in the game and for our x-factor (Norm) to do what he does best. The playoffs will be just like this let's learn adapt and get better. Go Clips!

Credit where credit is due – PG13’s defense was good (especially considering he was stuck on KAT often), but his poor shooting was only part of my frustration w/ his game (which is obviously lessened on account of winning, but still). His TOs were *bad* TOs, he fell asleep on defense on one Ant back cut and yelled at Mann for it, and the types of shots he took were low quality, lazy jumpers. Like if he played a smart game but the shots weren’t falling that’s one thing, but this wasn’t that.

Russ has been a positive for our team, but his inconsistencies have been maddening.

Bones really needs to be solid to earn the trust of Coach so that we can have more consistency for the Playoff run.

If we won the Lakers game by 20 last Wed, but lost today by 20, I would be more upset.

Today’s game was the best win of the year for seeding and tempo. We really needed this one.

Bones played efficiently in this game. He is going to be an upgrade than Russ, if the rest of the team can just stick to their Norm (sorry, had to try the pun).

I know folks are critical of PG, but I thought his defense was really good today and he scored 7 of our paltry 22 points in the quarter. If he gets those same looks again against this team, he’s going for 30. It’s a tough win in a tough environment and we made enough plays on offense. Our defense was ready to deal with the Wolves and that matters a lot.

Gotta give some flowers to Bones Hyland. He did exactly what I wanted out of the backup PG role: picked up the pace, moved the ball, generated quality shots, didn’t turnover the ball and helped to enable the big comeback that made this a game. His 3 shots were good attempts and no one can hate on him for missing shots when we saw what Harden did tonight (and, to a lesser extent, PG). This is the stuff we need from the backup PG. Harden was at 34 min when he’s been playing closer to 38-40 in non blowout games.

Hot Takes from Today’s win

PG13 played some really good defense against Towns
Zu is a bitch (Hopefully his pussy ass play has to do with him being sick)
Daniel Theis can’t pass open 3’s with 2 seconds on the shot clock
Outside of KL, Norm was only other player not afraid to shoot the ball
Bench Unit did their job. Regained the lead in the 1st stint and kept Minny close in the 2nd stint.
