I mean…kill them? If Zu is healthy we squeak by and that’s this game. I’m not going into a playoff series against these guys with absolute confidence, no way. So many variables, and Anthony Edwards is for real.

One factor is, and we’ve always known this about Harden, that guy is going to shrink underneath the bright lights. He’s fantastic in the regular season, and seeding/ taking strain off Kawhi and George’s apparently utterly uninterested ass is important too so I’m happy with the trade, but come playoff time it’s the Kawhi show. Harden even wilted against the pathetic Lakers because of the pressure of the crosstown rivalry.

In other news I had my eye on Marvin Bagley (being a power forward I’m sure others on this site did as well)
Expiring contract and 2 second rounders. That’s all it took.
I know PJ Tucker has another year but I bet one of Kobe Brown or Bones would have made up for that. Not sure that would have been the best GM move to make, particularly when it comes to losing Bones, but I do find the concept tantalising

I’d say that was true for the first half. By the 2nd half, the pros should’ve been able to adjust. Didn’t see the adjustment from Kawhi/PG/Harden.

Russ lost focus in 3rd, and he can’t bring us back by himself. He has to get Norm and the other guys touches.

Russ — you have to use your Tasmanian devil energy in a focused manner. Throwing any pass other than a bounce pass or a lob right through the paint is going to get picked off.

It’s rare that a team loses while proving they’re the better team but that’s what we saw tonight. If Zu plays we kill them. We know it. They know it. And so does everyone else.

I hope Zu is good for Tuesday.

Yeah, we usually remember him dunking on people back in OKC days so people often forgot he was not a good finisher at the rim

Russ is still a ridiculous athlete but he’s probably lost an inch or two off his vertical compared to his prime so it’s probably hard to adjust to that, combined w/ him never having great touch/finesse to begin w/.

I also don’t think the Wolves’ length was that much of a problem. It was really about poor decision making by PG/Kawhi/Harden. Pump fakes, moving into the mid range, drawing the defense in to kick, move and get it back, and attacking the rim under the bigs to draw fouls would’ve been more than sufficient to unlock the game. The Wolves are the type of opponent where a team needs a game of film to figure out. We’ll play better next time.
