Well of course Zu is better than Lopez and the team would be better with Zu. That isn’t what I was saying at all. I’m saying it would be a different team, a different look. Not that the W/L record would necessarily be different.

Dude, Zu with Garland at point is a much more effective lob/PnR threat than Lopez/IJax.

I think LAC fans are going to watch this team in the playoffs and kick themselves about trading Zu so soon. They’ll realize that if they had 48 mins of Zu and Lopez at center instead of Lopez and IJax (and probably Batum) they could’ve beaten either SAS or OKC.

Play of the game goes to Jordan Miller. Q4 I think–he was down low on D, anticipated a pass to the right corner, leapt high as hell and tipped the ball, as he was going out of bounds, to DJJ who had the presence of mind to see Jordan making that play — and turned it into a hoop. Demoralzinng for the TWs. But that typified Jordan’s athleticism and his b ball IQ — great anticipation right there. Anybody else enjoy watching that play go down?

At some point Collins feels like the only athletic/energy guys on the rotation back when DJJ was injured and Dunn was busy doing the dirty job to cover us up.

What feels crazy is Collins has been a big part of this team and has been out during this run. Almost feels like he should just come in and get the IJax and Batum minutes and play small with him as the primary backup C. Not sure how that would impact minute distribution, but almost hate to break up what feels like has been working so well. Collins has the potential though to take this roster up another level.

Incredible!
The transition from old ass team to a young, energetic, athletic playstyle is nothing short of stunning.
New faces open things up for us.
DG has such a positive vibe to him. Like someone said, his snappy pass out of nowhere is an eye opening.
Ben is well, BEN. He’s stubborn kid who can shoot and drive you nuts or use that same mind set to save some games for the team. Everything comes in a package, I guess.
And losing Yanic hurts so much. He’s perfect Big Guy for this new version of the team. But I-Jax help lessen that loss. He’s skinny as shit but dude fight and never back down.
DJJ, Dunn, Miller (Nasty Posters Dude!), Brook and Batum gets a shoutout.
I guess Sanders and even Cam will gets playing time when some guards has to sit, so stay ready young fellas.
And finally, Ant Man said post game that when healthy, Kawhi is up there as an all-timer. I agree with him.
It’s gonna be ups and down so enjoy the ride guys. 🙂

I think Zu could’ve played in this offense. If Brook can, Zu can. I guess Zu is running from basket to basket, while Brook is running basket to 3-pt line, but it’s the more on other guys that are the fast break, not Brook or in theory, Zu. Maybe you cut Zu’s minutes back if he’s having trouble keeping pace, but still think he would be fine.

To me the pace is at least 90% dictated by the change from Harden to DG. There might be some philosophy changes by the coaching staff. Particularly, I’ve always thought team that don’t fit well together, or learning to play together, can benefit from playing with pace and just trying to get easy baskets in transition. I’ve worried about transition teams in the playoffs when things typically slow down, but for now, definitely feels like Clips are benefitting from the added tempo.
