Surprisingly enough, he thought we played well. Got these comments from the Athletic.
“Nothing to improve, we played a good game,” Lue said. “We just got beat. You can play well sometimes and lose, and tonight was one of those nights. We played well enough to win, and we just lost the game on a last-second shot. So, just keep plugging away. Like I said, keep doing what we’re doing. Twenty-six assists, we only had 13 turnovers. So just continue to keep doing what we’ve been doing.”

Dort’s been good, yes, but not *that* good – dude was unstoppable and wrecked every player and every scheme the Clips put in front of him. He just had a ridiculous night offensively.

Gross misinterpretation of how centers get involved in the game. I like Zu, but the constant pandering to his weaknesses can be annoying. We can be honest; a) on certain nights, he’s one of the best defensive bigs in the league; that’s not an over-exaggeration; he really can be that good sometimes. But b) he is exceptionally offensively limited. He essentially has no touch around the rim, his hands aren’t great, and he has no outside shot he can rely on. Almost all advanced statistical categories indicate that we are a MUCH better team with Hartenstein, and zu should 100 percent be better because he has been on this team so long. You can argue that there isn’t enough sample size, but the disparity in numbers is so significant, you cannot ignore it. (e.g., our net rating with zu on the floor is -3.3, but with Hartenstein, it’s 9!) Not only that, our defensive rating goes from 99 with hart to 109 with Zu! These numbers indicate that while zu can sometimes be extremely good, he is highly inconsistent and can take off nights.

Not sure about Ty admitting his failures this time around but he has in the past. Obviously we would prefer just not screwing up the obvious stuff in the first place over an apology, but he’s accepted the blame for sure. Think he did so that Bulls game? Something about mismanagement of playing time? Definitely a blunder which had a ripple effect and generated a losing streak and a slide down the standings, but sorry helps somehow.
