On George–he’s a diva. He’s never, ever gonna change. You live with all his worts — his bitching, his TOs, his checking out — you live with it since he gives you so much more with his offense. Kawhi absolutely knows it and thinks that, on balance, partnering up with PG can give him a good chance at a title. And Kawhi also knows that in the crucial moments, he, KL, will have the ball.

MM weighs in at 236 (Kawhi at 225). Morris would improve his D if he’d slim down to, say, the low 220s — it’d make a difference, for sure. If he could actually improve on D by being a bit leaner and therefore quicker, we’d stop bitching. He has time to shed that weight if he wants to. He’s gotta be hearing our voices.

Morris, unfortunately, has seen better days. He can still hit a contested 3 and can back down a defender for his fall away but he can no longer defend or rebound. Let him start and limit his minutes to no more than 15 total per game.

George needs to complain less regarding fouls. We don’t need a return to the “whining Blake years.” His ability to lock in and concentrate is puzzling. I like George. He likes being a Clipper. He does so many good things that when he “checks out” it is maddening.

We do not need nor want Westbrook. It would be a huge error. The chemistry would be obliterated. Same as when they brought in Wall. The players we have now would be threatened and the rumors of KL and PG playing GM don’t help. It says that KL and PG have no faith in the current cast. That just isn’t good. The Clips have the right combinations now. If the FO gives in to KL and PG, they will show themselves as weak and feckless.

Terrence Mann is the heart and soul of this team. It isn’t KL or PG. The starting unit has been humming ever since he was given the keys. That isn’t an accident. The days of “traditional point guards” are over. There is a reason why the point guards still playing are mostly in their mid 30’s. Mann starts the offense. Makes the correct pass. Plays defense. Makes 3’s. Drives to the basket. Plays with no fear. On this team he is perfect.

Gordon, Plumlee, and Bones are the right men at the right time.

He definitely shouldn’t be starting. I really want RoCo to take his minutes. EJ, MM, RoCo and Batum are all expiring contracts this summer, I believe we will have our 2028th and 2030th 1st round picks available to trade as well as pick swaps in 2027 and 2029. That’s enough draft capital and matching salaries to make a good move or two.

PG is Paul George, not Point Guard, TL.
Brian Shaw commented at half to take care of the ball. PG led the team in TOs, and not only in this game. Hope Ty can handle this truth.

Mann, Powell, EJ can ably point the 1 with so much lesser TOs. No more Russ too. PG + RW TOs will be one two many.

I like MM to be behind Nico, RoCo or even Coffey in rotation. Team needs D, energy, hustle. Plumlee is here, no need for Nico or Roco to play the 5 anymore.

I think Bones should remain in the rotation as is and Morris should move to the 2nd unit with either EG or Batum starting at the #4. But there’s no denying that one of the team’s star players doesn’t have confidence in Bones and wants him to be displaced if Westbrook is brought in. Anything that disrupts T-Mann’s rhythm or role is clinically insane, imho. T-Mann is the leader of the first unit as far as I’m concerned. The two stars just wanna be scorers, not two-way players who are the anchors or quarterbacks of the offensive sets or strategies to attack the opponent, expose their weaknesses and set teammates up.

Please trade PG13 at the end of the season! PG13 + Zu for Jaren Jackson Jr. and whatever to match salaries.

I seriously wanted to throw things at my screen during the 2nd quarter. If Lue doesn’t have the balls to pull PG13 when he’s obviously brain dead, LF needs to force his hand AGAIN and just get rid of PG13. Another option is to ALSO fire Lue, but still trade PG13.

With EJ and Bones added, Lue needs to ban PG13 from playing point. Even more reason to demote him to 3 and D. PG13 needs to be on the wings or running off off-ball screens for either catch & shoot or drive. He should never be dribbling unless he’s driving to the basket.

They spent half of the entire game talking about Durant. And not that I want to focus on Kawhi’s poor game, but they didn’t even notice it until the 3rd quarter.
