When Zu rotates over to stop penetration almost every single time down the court, if you watch he is constantly looking around throwing his hands up as his man ends up with a put back dunk or flies in for a lay up. This has been going on most of the season.
– Dude complains ALOT & is always looking for someone to blame for his & others fuck ups! What’s worse is he’s the only guy on the team you see throwing his lil tantrums, on both ends.. Also, you can hear what’s going on, on the court, pretty damn good & you constantly hear ppl directing Zu where to be & what to do.. Both from the coaches & players on the court.. The guy is a big ass baby, plain & simple

Trust has now broken down and he is hesitating..not sure what to do. If he helps he gets burned. If he doesn’t help he gets burned and benched. This falls at the lap of the coach who is not holding the others accountable and blaming Zu, who as a result now looks confused and frustrated. There is much more to this.
– he’s simply not giving full effort & he’s confused cuz he lacks the IQ..

The Clippers look outright lazy trotting back on defense with no energy or intensity….especially PG and Reggie The ball swings a few times, someone runs in for a lay up, Zu challenges multiple guys on defense.. Mann picks his nose on weak side help and a guy 10 minutes from retirement looks like a 15 million dollar player. With Zu anchoring the defense with rim protection, box outs and rebounds at lest you don’t give up 16 Offensive rebounds as well as wide open lay ups in addition to all these other issues.
– I already touched on this + let’s not act as if he’s getting every damn rebound.. Alot of his min resulted in makes for the Suns, thanks to cp hunting Zu.. Clips played much better D without him, sans PG, they just couldn’t finish defensive possessions by rebounding.. That was attributed more from Batum having ZERO rebounds & playing 3 guys under 6-4.. This is where Kawhis size & rebounding HURT!

Even my 10 year old son pointed out…”Dad Zu is frustrated because the weak side guards will not rotate consistently making him look bad.
– Back to my 1st point! You know why the defense has been better with Patt, & why we’ve seen a huge uptick in his min, cuz hes a HIGH IQ player who is constantly rotating! + as slow as he is he’s the best big defender on the perimeter.. This is where Serge has been a huge disappointment & can’t knock Zu here cuz he’s a big ass dude.. He’ll do ok in certain matchups but having Patt being able to switch, rotate &/or recover bodes them better defensively against heavy PNR teams

Kawhi has been covering a lot of this lazy perimeter defense up…with him out everything is exposed…which is a good thing…so guys can be held accountable…and the problems which reside on the perimeter can be repaired. If not, during the playoffs, Serge will become the new Montrez if healthy…and Zu will be anchored to the bench. Hopefully Ty is not as hard headed as Doc.
– Kawhi has been one of the laziest defenders on the team all year! He simply picks his spots & has games where he’s everywhere but let’s not act as if he’s playing at an all nba level every game & every time down the floor.. The guy thats mostly been held accountable against the PNR is Zu, which is why teams are playing him off the court!

Again, this isn’t an anti Zu thing, but the fact that ppl act as if he’s the solution is simply WRONG! He’s part of the problem & the biggest problem against PNRs & that’s ok, that’s not his strong suit.. Folks just need to realize he’s nowhere near the player they make him out to be

1. Appreciate him that much more when we don’t have him available
2. Health is a legit concern. He was out a bunch of games and then game back vs. Minny. And then out again. Must have experienced a set back in that game so maybe playing vs. Minny was a mistake (that the team won’t admit).
3. Hard to see him playing any games the rest of the reg season since he couldn’t play in the crucial PHX game. I mean, so miraculously he comes back 2 days later?? The team likely does not make the same Minny mistake again.
4. After the game, the radio guys were saying how big this next Denver game is (to avoid Lakes), in effect making a loud public plea to the team to get KL back for the next one.
