If we have Norm and RoCo we may not need Luke. Being the top 3 point %, he definitely has value, but he seems to have too many 3 or 6 point games. Looks like we should be able to keep the rest of the guys as long as Balmer is willing to pay a lot of tax. So far it seems like he loves spending money on this team 🙂

Luke has proven to be a much better version of Shamet, but I’ve come around to the possibility he’ll be traded. Zu and Mann are nice NBA players. It would be lovely to keep all three, but I’m fairly sure we’ll see a trade involving them and/or others at some point.

Pretty pumped for our play-in game on Tuesday! When play-in tournament first started, I couldn’t picture us participating within the near future. Either we’d be healthy and a top 6 seed or we’d be unhealthy (like this year) and miss the play-in. Kudos to Ty for getting us not just to the play-in, but getting us to the 8 seed. This is a great position to be in. Twolves have been really solid, but I think we could take them in a game. Getting the 7 seed dramatically increases our probability of making a deep run. I’d much rather play memphis, GS and Denver over phoenix or dallas (I wouldn’t mind playing utah again). A deeper run increases our chances of getting Leonard back and ramped up, which dramatically improves our trajectory.

Not an ideal season by any means, but the Clippers organization competency is really starting to show.

I also really love our roster. I believe we have Batum’s bird rights. If we can keep this team together and get healthy next summer, I’d put us in the top tier of the league for sure. Norm Powell has so much potential. I can really picture him thriving under Ty Lue and can’t wait to see what happens. We also have a ton of tradable pieces if we want to make a move this summer. While I still really like Luke, Mann and Zu, all three are pretty much expendable if the right opportunity presents itself. The FO’s patience and selectivity in making moves has proved to be really smart. Win or lose this post season, I’m feeling pretty good about our prospects.

TWolves won and Nugs are pulling away so lookin pretty for sure we get TWolves on Tuesday. I don’t think we’ll lay down to avoid Suns but will try like hell to get this one in MN. Assuming that both teams will be full strength sans KL. As to the TWolves, who among us recalls that Towns won the 3 pt contest? If he’s on, that could kill us. So, are we really gonna let Zu check him on the outside? Lue and the brain trust have to figure something out to limit him. I mite go small when KATs in the game and that mite be most of it as minutes limits will go out the window. Loser then plays Friday so plenty of time to recover. Time for Ty to again show us what he’s got.

The FO should look at upgrading the center position this off season. I like Hartenstein more than Zu but wouldn't feel completely comfortable with him being the starting center. My pipe dream of a trade to upgrade the center position would be as follows:

MM Sr to Minnesota
Zu & Taurean Prince + Minny's 2022 1st Rd Pick to Indy
Miles Turner to Clips

Obviously this trade would have to take place before the NBA Draft. I know many don't value MM Sr that much but Minny could use a starting caliber PF and with a taste of the playoffs this year, they may be willingly to do this trade.
