I’m honestly starting to feel like Mann could be a 20pt/game scorer on a bad team in this league. Even a team that pushes the pace more than the Clippers. I felt like there were a number of times he got the outlet pass and could’ve tried to go quick and maybe had a 1-on-1 to get to the rim. With the Clippers that’s probably not the best shot they can get, but even so I think there’s a ton of room for him to be more aggressive.

On a team where he had the green light to try and get to the rim, I think he could put up big numbers. Sure he wouldn’t have the number of open 3’s he gets with the Clippers, but his threat to drive still makes him a tough cover.

Love the Crown Royal podcasts. Would love to see these on a video platform: someday-). Let’s put the white board and slide ruler away with regard to how the Suns are going to adjust. They’re going to parlay the narrative that we got away with being too physical and hustle the refs into putting Bev and Zu on the bench in foul trouble. Then everything opens up for old man CP and mid range Booker. I would anticipate this and cross them up defensively to start the game. Do something weird like put Reggie on Booker or just go for broke and crush him with PG. get Batum or Mook into the game early and draw Ayton outside instead of Zu stumbling into offensive fouls. It’s not that I don’t have confidence in our guys but it would totally suck if three minutes into the game Bev and Zu have 2 fouls and are on the bench. If we can anticipate and outthink this utterly predictable counter move we will punk them and win.

Someone on Twitter said they heard Lue refer to “someone else” that was “banged up” in addition to Morris. I am assuming it is a rotation player and I am now assuming it is the reason why Batum has not been able to take on more minutes the past two games. It looks like it will have to be PG/Zu/Big Government/PatBev/TMann to carry the Clippers to three more wins.

“More pressure and pace” in Game 4? Cam Payne will be playing. How do the Clippers stop him? Shap raised the specter of a 3 guard Suns line up. Either way, no one was able to keep up with Payne in Games 1 and 2.
