BBJ really looked confident in his shot, a bit surprising for his first real playing time. Definitely deserves more minutes, hopefully will take some of Bledsoe’s minutes.

I think PG bringing the ball up the court has really expanded his game. That’s one change Lue and Chauncy made last year. He’s driving more and getting some good midrange looks. Turnovers are going to happen since he’s not a 6-2 point guard, but a lot of the games they’re not that bad, and it’s not so critical against SA or other non playoff teams.

Complaining. If I think I was really fouled and there’s no call, I’m gonna complain–not to the extent of giving up on the play but at some point I’ll complain. Many, many players complain for another reason: to increase their chances of a make up call the next time around. Unfortunately, that happens. When/if it stops happening, complaints will decrease. And I wouldn’t throw players out on a 2d tek–rather, I’d award the other team 5 FTs. That’d stop the complaing in its tracks.

Agreed, not just the B2B this week, but also having to face a tough Dallas team twice before Thanksgiving — it is akin to a mini-playoff rerun. If Mook isn’t back, we definitely need to play deep into our bench this week and next. Considering it is only mid Nov. and so many games ahead, we have to not burn out the older guys.

I would prefer one of the guards to bring the ball past half court, but even during sets, PG will dribble a bit too much. We should be doing more flowing passing (not the crazy cross court stuff). We were getting picked off during routine passes as well — not just PG, Luke, eBled and Reggie also.

I really think one answer to that, and I’ve said it before, is for our guards to bring up the damn ball and then pass it to PG in the front court. That way you reduce, just a bit, his opportunities to cough it up. But that takes some discipline. Ur not gonna change PGs game at this point–he’s a fairly reckless player similar to Lou Wms. That’s his nature (ala the Scorpion and the Toad fable). His TOs are tolerable vs. avg teams but will bite us vs. the contenders.
