He’s being asked to do too much and desperately needs Luke back (PG for sure but who knows). The one corner 3 shot RJ made looked pure but his mid range is so off that he looks unplayable. I wonder how he’d explain that??? Marcus shot is off as well. It may be a road thing but MM will also benefit having our good/great shooters return to the fold to take some pressure off. Can’t believe Luke is still out — covid must have hit him pretty hard.
Boston was clanking as well. This is pro ball, remember guys? Aim straighter.
Loved Serge finding some success. Agree we need more of that soon.

We should have won this game. Reggie and Mook played terribly. They have to step up. They can both play good basketball. Pass, move, pass again, a better shot will open up.
Ibaka played well in the second half. My wife asked whether his good play was the Hartenstein effect?
Do you think that Coach Lue is going to yell at the guys that they need to play better or Frank is going to trade them? Sorry, trying to have a laugh when I’m crying inside.

Naw. Reggie is playing terrible because he is terrible if he’s the go to guy. Look at his time in Detroit.
It’d be best to sit him and be a spark off the bench if he has any juice left.

I’d sit Reggie for a game and start Bledsoe. Have Moon take the backup minutes at point. If the squad plays well, have Reggie come off the bench until PG or Kawhi returns. Right now it doesn’t matter if Reggie’s ego will be hurt by this. Get over it. The team needs to break out of this slump plus his play ain’t helping.

Don’t be scared Ty. You know what you have to do.

While disappointing, it’s hard to complain too much about the effort fighting back into the game and taking the lead. It really felt like a clips win until Bledsoe took that awful three when we were up five. I thought “uh oh” and It all fell apart from there. One has to wonder if Reggie might be trying to play terrible to avoid being traded. It sure looks like it. What’s important right now is the emergence of Coffey and also BBJ having some solids on defense and especially rebounding. We could be sellers at the deadline if the kids keep progressing to supplant out vets.

Our “best” players in Reggie and MM are basically average-NBA player level, and ever since coming back from COVID, Reggie’s been much worse than that. It’s not an effort thing – the guys put up a fight every night, especially defensively – we just suck. Nobody can create their own shot w/ any consistency, and the ball sticks for like the first 15 sec of the shot clock.

At this point I’m fine w/ selling off some assets if we can get a decent return – even if PG13 and Kawhi come back, we aren’t likely to put up a real fight for contention from the 9/10 spot.

Putting Reggie & Zu back in was the death nail. Zu & Reggie have been really bad lately.
