“When the team looks right” is when at least 3 of our stars play well, i.e., Klaw, PG13, Lou, or Trez. Less than that, and the team struggles and gets into tight games no matter who the competition is.

I’d much rather have Embiid out there taking semi-contested 3’s than having him sitting in the post and kicking it out to open shooters for 3’s. As long as Zu isn’t giving up completely uncontested catch and shoot 3’s I think Doc needs to stick with him.

You know that the sixers will focus on Embiid. He’ll take Zu out to the 3 pt line and then try to beat him to the hoop. Good game for coaching strategy.

I got a good feeling about this one and the Boston game. We tend to show up for the big ones and we have everyone but Bev. Agree that Zu needs to play A LOT. I actually think he can bother Embiid in the post and if we can get PG or MM to annoy him outside we may have something for him.

thinking back on the Tobias Harris trade, I feel like the centerpiece of that trade was the unprotected 2021 Miami pick, but how’s that looking right now? Obviously since been moved to OKC, but I thought that pick was going to be super valuable before the Heat found all these young guns.

the Philly 1st rounder went out in the Fi deal if I recall. And one of the DET went out for Morris. So basically Shamet, Zu, Fi, and part of Morris and PG for an overpaid Tobias is still pretty darned good.

Hopefully Sham goes crazy in his first game vs his former team. Also important for the Clippers to stop Korkmaz, who is effectively a Middle Eastern JJ Redick for them and has set his career high twice over the past two games

Dear Doc,

Zu isn’t gonna *stop* Embiid, but he’ll do a better job on him than Trez. Also this isn’t limited to Embiid – the team often plays a lot better w/ Zu out there.
Please give Zu more minutes if he’s playing well instead of arbitrarily yanking him and riding Trez the entire 4th quarter even if Trez is gassed.
