This might not be a popular take but the bubble championship doesn’t really count imo. Sure, if the Clippers won, perhaps my opinion may change on this.

He’s so lucky he won that one championship. Can you imagine if the hate he would be getting if he didn’t? When he went to the Lakers I thought there was a real chance he wouldn’t win a chip and end up hated in LA.

Many Lakers fans are pissed. They don’t consider him a true Laker (which he’s demonstrably not, he just wanted Hollywood and growing his brand) and say blow it up. I was a big LeBron fan pre-Lakers. He’s amazing. But when asked if he would consider signing with the Clippers, he dismissively said, “Nah, I’m not going to the Clippers.” Then we got Kawhi and PG. Get ready for more “left knee soreness.”

Yea w/o Norm, PG13, and Kawhi, we just don’t have the top-end talent to be able to afford to overlook anyone. Teams like the Suns (even w/o CP3) and the Grizzlies (even w/o Dillon Brooks) just have a bigger margin of error than we do. The Clips don’t need to play their best to beat the Lakers, but a “meh” level game from the Clips doesn’t beat the Lakers if the Lakers are at their best the whole game.

I mean, he’s easily the GOAT of stat stuffing. I’ve noticed the Lakers trotting him out there to shoot technical FTs, despite him not being a great FT shooter at all – gotta keep hoarding all dem points I guess.

If he doesn’t play tomorrow we should blow them out by at least 10pts. If he does play but he’s really injured/limited it might actually be the same result – dude has already been loafing like 80% of the time on defense, and has had a surprisingly high number of offensive possessions where he dribbles the ball for 15 sec and then settles for a long jumper.

Dude, any team can beat another team on any given night. (Why NBA is such great drama). We should take each game at a time, and not overlook any opponent.
It was nice to win a game comfortably and be up by 20 in the 3rd.
Coming back from 20 down is great and everything, but we need to really start shutting down teams and getting efficient half court sets down — what we will need to go to get past the play-in round and hopefully more.

So who’s more dangerous (assuming no huge talent disparity): a team on a 4 game win streak or on a 4 game losing streak? Notice that the Lakes narrative has shifted from “let’s string a bunch of wins together and get in the mix” to “let’s just win one game.” And, they’d love for that one game to be the next one vs. us. Personally, I think the hungry team, at home, is super dangerous. In the back of my mind I think Ty mite just be feeling a lil sorry for his coaching colleague Vogel. Coaches tend to stick up for each other. Not saying he’ll roll over but this mite be a bigger minutes game for Boston.
