Everybody plays. Starters get some rest in the fourth.
T-Mann has a good game.
Also in the g-league, a good game by another clippers team.

Moose is dominant. Preston still doesn’t shoot 3 that well but the guy is a floor general like he was in college.

The Mavs haven’t been great this season either, but they’re undoubtedly a tough opponent, and I’m just glad we got the “easy” win tonight w/o too much struggle. On the bright side, maybe Mann will have a breakout game tomorrow night, since he always seems to get fired up playing against Luka for some reason lol

PG13, Reggie, MM are all guys who for better or worse are gonna put up a lot of shots – it’s not that they’re selfish, but they can all put up buckets in a hurry and also create their own shots, which doesn’t leave that much room for Luke. I’d much rather start Mann alongside the starters to do glue guy stuff and bring in Luke w/ a bench unit where he can play against looser defenses and play with Wall who theoretically should be a better distributor.

Somehow he is repeatedly wide open when Mook, PG and others operate yet guys aren’t finding him on what would simple passes. I’d be milking him until they forced us to stop.

No itchy trigger 3 guys and lots of D led to very smart, high % transition rim attacks. Norm, Mann and Amir took competent turns initiating the O. This is a pretty unselfish lineup. So nice to see that flow where the stout, clever D leads to relatively easy shots. Fun to watch. Gotta hand it to Ty for that combo. And smart to bring on Moses when you had the game well in hand. He was very energetic and mistake free. Building some confidence, player and coach.
But there’s a caveat: it was the Rockets. Say no more.

  • PG and Morris under 30 min
  • Reggie with the ball in his hands a lot, making plays and getting his shots
  • Luke finding his space to get his points
  • Mann/Coffey in the 2nd small ball unit to provide more size.
  • Roco showed up
  • Powell did not suck. There may be a slot for him as the PG on the 2nd unit. He’s well sized for that position.
  • Batum played his first decent game in a long while

It seems to me that John Wall ought to sit the bench more and just play 2 6 min stints to see if he can get downhill and help the team go on a short 7-2 run here and there.
