Great game all around and with only 8 TOs.
Brook & Batum are good.
Yanic stepping in as a rookie big man in vets-laden team is not an easy job. Good for him.
I hope Sanders is permanently plugged in the rotation going forward since he’s such a high IQ player and a good shooter.
One game at a time and let’s see how it goes.

The upside: we won woohooo!!
The downside: Ty Lue keeps his job and Balmer will be stubborn to trade Kawhi, Harden and Zu. At MOST you trade Harden cause he has a player option next season.

The thing about not trading Kawhi and Harden is Harden has a player option after this season, and even if he doesn’t exercise it we wouldn’t be the first team he requested a trade from, so him choosing to leave and destroying any potential trade leverage is a very real possibility. Not to say we should ship Harden to Charlotte or something, but considering our record it still makes more sense to trade him than keep him. Regarding Kawhi, we’ve seen this before. Dude looks rejuvenated and like a destroyer and then can’t keep it up consistently either due to age or injury. We need to be looking to move him while he’s at peak value, and there are plenty of teams that could use him in theory.

I enjoyed this game and the Lakers game a ton, but we’re way past the point of even false hope. Best case scenario these wins give us some joy for the holidays and raise Kawhi and Harden’s trade value.

Also on a related note, Happy Holidays y’all! I’m thankful for this community, especially w/ the team performing this poorly.

Yes. We all love Zu so much perhaps no one was able to see the forest for the trees. Not a shocker in retrospect that iso players might fare better in this type of offensive structure. Zu is still a bad ass and perhaps we will figure out some more things while he’s on the bench. But the season is likely lost however, so I still think we should be hoping for the best return on everyone. What’s different now (knock on wood re injuries) is that we can play this out for a few more weeks before the trade deadline and hopefully sell high.

Houston desperately needs a floor general as evidenced routinely and graphically on the multiple 3 second violations. Harden solves this for them.

Cam Johnson sucks and Denver needs a real SF. Enter Kawhi.

With OKC coming down to earth these other teams are going to have to ante up. You can’t empty the cupboards for KD or have possibly the greatest player in history in his prime and just shrug your shoulders and stand pat.

You mite not see a better Kawhi game the rest of his career. An absolute domination of any rocket who tried to check him. But I gotta come back to the 5 out dynamic that really opened up things — really brot out or emphasized the strengths of our scoring guys. I finally enjoyed watching a game. They didn’t fold. It’s like they collectively said: “Wer’re mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore.” And despite the star’s heroics and scoring prowess, you gotta give the game ball to Lopez, don’t you?? The guy we all called a buffoon and want off the team. My, how fortunes can change in a hurry. And I’m guessin that the official clip line is that Zu’s absence had nothing to do with win.
