New Rotations: Bennedict Mathurin’s first game in a Clippers jersey yesterday saw some pretty major shifts to the rotation. First, Cam Christie, who’s been playing rotation minutes for a bit, was moved out of the lineup. Not that big a deal. More surprisingly, Nic Batum did not enter the game yesterday. There have been points the past year or so that Nico has faded out of the rotation, but it was something to keep note of. The Clippers trust Batum and he’s still been a valuable role player this year, so I think him getting phased out is more just that the Clippers are confident he can plug and play, and want to see other combinations for the moment.
