that’s the weird thing? all of these stupid talking heads keep talking Luka and Irving even though they haven’t beaten anyone really; but we’re still the better odds to come out the west other than denver? plus was weird that they put luka in the category of having the most pressure to win this year? Huh? isn’t he still only 25? and would assume his best supporting cast is still a work in progress? not sure why there’s so much pressure to go far this year? just because of irving? i could see if it was luka and embid together or something? just seems like talking heads’ hype as usual :-). Can understand a lot of pressure probably on KD (really moreso the Suns’ organization since they have no cap maneuverability after those trades and moves), Celtics, and the Bucks. And of course us to some extent.

I’m glad that the sports media is writing us off. F-them.

But, BetMGM has us at slight favorites. Would think that the bookmakers have a better prediction than talking heads.

Evenly matched with superstars, but how each team’s support players perform.

T. Mann, Coffey, Zu and Norm — very dependable. We actually have two good backup big men.

X-factor is Russ — do we get laser focused Russ or yikes Russ?

A little prayer would help.

We must assume that we will be better than the post-all-star-period; with or without Kawhi. We certainly cannot be worse.

If Kawhi is healthy we have absolutely nothing to fear. We play, and may the best team win.

Heliocentricity doesn’t work out for basketball, unless you have MJ. Even he had a great cohort of teammates. Player for player, from the stars to the role-players, we are better.

The Mavs had an easy schedule, their overall numbers in this post-all star period are inflated.

Are we really scared of P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford?

I guess Kawhi will be ready in game 2.
I mean, we have nothing to lose now.
Nobody believe in us. They said that we look old and slow.
I truly believe even we win in 5, some will say it’s fluke or something funny.
I don’t care. As long as our guys are healthy. I like our chance against anyone.

If Kawhi doesn’t play, I’d say Dallas in a hard fought 6 games. If he does play, then I’d take us in 7.

Well, according to all the scribes it appears we haven’t a snowball’s chance in hell against the Mavs. Many are just skipping over our series and the 2nd round and putting them in the WCF. This seems fantastical to me given the talent on this team and OKC for that matter but perhaps they know more than we do about Kawhi’s health. But I expect our guys to accept the challenge with or without him.
