Clips really started to get the upper hand when they slowed it down and moved the ball to Zu in the post. They went away from it and then sat him to start Q4 with a super small lineup. Some bad coaching decisions by Lue. Hope Bamba gets back. You can’t rely on Nico to be your small ball 5. He’s really a 3/4, help defender, ball mover, glue guy.

Yea, JMiller both have that rim aggression that ends up with good things happening. TMann needs to do that more as he tends to penetrate half way and then passes outside. We’re a flawed team–need to get better.

KPJ can never get to the rim off a pick and roll or on an ISO, he just does some dribble moves into a mid-range jumper. There’s no concept of a drive and kick with him at the helm. Bones would be much better creating looks for other guys simply by getting to the rim, even if he’s not great at finishing.

I don’t mind Kobe getting minutes at small ball center to keep Batum fresh but I disagree with the notion Batum is washed. Batum is being mis-utilized as a small ball center and is also best when he’s playing next to guys like Harden and Kawhi to stretch the floor but he’s having to share most of his minutes with the second unit which is not playing to his strengths. Once there’s an actual back up center and Kawhi comes back, I wouldn’t be surprised if Batum goes back to the great floor spacing connector he was in the past.

When Dunn left in the 1st quarter, the Clips turned to crap. We all saw it. The Clippers never recovered until Lue brought in Miller and Kobe. Bones didn’t look bad either.

I was hoping KPJ would work out but I am now off that train. Jordan Miller needs those minutes.

I see Batum as a coach similar to Udonis Haslem. Play Kobe.

I’m not too fond of this version of Harden. He excelled in the first quarter when paired with Dunn, but when the offense becomes Harden-centric, everything bogs down.

Norm had a bad night. When Norm blew the layup, it was an omen of things to come.

Keep TMann on the 2nd unit.

Get the ball to Zu closer to the basket.

I know his early season numbers probably weren’t sustainable, but against OKC and Houston the team has been unable to get Zu going at all, and it’s really hurt. We’re more athletic overall compared to the last couple of years, but this still isn’t a running team – halfcourt offense and controlling the pace needs to be our bread and butter, and working through Zu (and Harden, obviously) is the best way to do that.
