But can watch the replay on wonderful, glitch-free ClipperVision. ClutchPoints: Clippers star Paul George achieves insane never-before-seen feat with monster game vs. Rockets

Here’s the insane part: “PG13 finished with 35 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and six steals. Behind his scoring explosion was his five 3-pointers made. Now according to Stat Muse, George is the first player to have ever such a stat line. While seven other players have made the 35-9-8-6 line in NBA history, no one has done it with five triples made.”

I sure hope that if this season turns into a dumpster fire they do him a solid and send him somewhere legit to win a ring. Warriors are struggling. Maybe Wiggins and Kuminga and a pick or two gets that done. They would be invincible —-again. Here’s hoping we go on a hot streak and get back in the hunt. If not he deserves better.

Amir Coffey isn’t trade eligible until January 14th. Ehn. Something to think about. Reggie’s expiring + Coffey and Preston for Turner?

Anyone? Anyone?

Dallas match up is 2 weeks from now, maybe he will turn it on then.

Clips played with some desperation in that 4th quarter, fighting on every possession. PG was elite. Zu had a double double. Kennard was solid, but needs to shoot more. Morris was meh. Although the +/- doesn’t say it, I did think the defense and ball movement looked a lot better w/Mann and Coffey on the floor. Batum has been underwhelming at both ends. His defense near the rim is always good, but he’s just not using that long reach to step into the shooter’s space and deny those 3s.

Groin injury is still bothering Reggie as he had no juice on his shot after Q1. Despite 6 assists, a pretty good floor game, and competing on D, he couldn’t provide the Clips with the scoring output that we need from him, Hopefully, he’s only a few days away from finding his shot again. I think it’s there.

Norm Powell was a +9 but continued to be a disappointment in my view. He got his +9 riding PG’s runs. The few times he had offensive spurts, you saw the Clips build a working margin, then he gave it away with sub optimal shots and some bad shooting. His game is crying out for a mid range shot. He can actually be a legit scorer for this team if he commits to taking and making those shots first.

Defensively, the team was up and down but got better in Q4. The times that they focused on denying Houston the step back 3s and high screen pick and pop or dribble hand off 3s, they got the advantage. But too many times, we let guys get screened off for an open 3, didn’t rotate to an open 3, or simply gave too much space. Clips have to recognize that in today’s game the players feel more comfortable taking the 3 than they do dribbling in traffic and shooting mid ranges or even lay ups. You have to deny that shot even at the risk of getting beat off the dribble and giving up 2s. We have Zu, PG, Batum and others who can make plays nearer to the rim and reduce 2 pt efficiency. You can’t simply let teams take that high elbow 3 or corner 3.

I think we’d be in good shape if Reggie had his legs under him. He’s making plays and getting the shot opportunities he wants. He’s just not hitting them just yet. Clips had 13 TOs tonight, better than the last few.
