The team has done a better job over the past 3 games swinging the ball to hunt for 3s and to take some of Harden’s workload down. That said, Harden’s game still needs to evolve to push and swing the ball to where he is more of a trailing or late shot clock option than ball dominant guard whose usage rate is over 75% of the shot clock.

Powell’s efficiency, shot making ability and motor gives off Lou Williams ‘underground goat’ vibes.

Defense is top 5 in the league and might be the best in the league. Not giving up much easy and our defense has been able to keep the team in the game during droughts.

What I really like over these 10 games is that we’re improving as a team. I think we’re going to continue to be a tough out. The challenge will be to get the balance right with Harden to get more efficient play out of him that is sustainable for an 82 game season.

Gotta give the team a lot of credit for going 4-1 in this 5 game in 7 day stretch. Went to the game last night and they just had no legs in Q4 despite getting up low double digits multiple times.

Terance Mann saved the game at the defensive end. So far this year, he has been eating a lot of innings against the other team’s best guards; he’s protecting Norm and Harden on defense; and he’s doing a lot on the intangibles, grabbing rebounds, loose balls, and tapping balls to keep possessions alive. On the offensive end, he’s easing James’ ball handling load and getting the team into the offense, but isn’t encouraged to initiate.

The team simply does not look for him in the corner the way they look for DJJ, Dunn and Coffey. That has to change. His rebounding and assist rates are higher than last season over these first 10 games. He’s at a low 3/18 on 3PAs, but we know this is the same guy who shot over 40% from 3 in the last 3.5 months of the season and 45% in the playoffs vs Dallas.He’s not getting shots in the rhythm of the offense and he needs to be encouraged by the staff to shoot.

Getting T-Mann more shots by just looking to swing the ball to the sideline and corner and encouraging him to shoot more will make a big difference for the team’s ability to sustain this nice start.

Ty Lue is going to run Harden into the ground. Harden is not only 35 but he isn’t a great physical specimen. He can give you 25 to 28 good minutes per night. Harden is a hamstring waiting waiting to happen.

It wasn’t pretty but the Clips gutted it out.

KPJ had a fairly good game. 15 points. He rebounds and gets assists. He’s growing on me.

My advice to Bones is to study Lou Williams’s film. With his body type, that’s who he could be.

TMann must shoot open 3’s. They will fall.

Harden looks completely gassed.

Cardiac clippers are back. Other than Norm and Harden we’re lacking closers at the last minutes so every game becomes a grind.
