The Clippers actually have some semblance of an offense this year and a PG bringing up the ball and initiating the offense isn’t it. Harden and CP3 are bringing the ball up, but also Kawhi, DJJ, Beal, Dunn with Harden getting the ball off a screen. It’s taking a lot of load off Harden and allowing him to be more of a threat off-ball. It’s also taking time to learn and has lead to turnovers, but I’m glad Ty isn’t burning Harden to the ground like last season.

DJJ would be the first to tell you that he’s not a ball andling point guard. But he has big time strengths for this team–but his handle is not one of them.

I agree, but then the 2nd unit is Lopez,Nico,DJJ,Beal & CP3. That’s an awesome 2nd unit but 80% of those are old guys. They’d often be playing against a bunch of young’uns. That might be a problem.

I wasn’t bagging on DJJ in general, just that the last play was tottering on disaster until the final moment. DJJ has been fine, but he didn’t look his best on that possession.

These kinds of posts make me question if you all are even watching the games and not just the highlights. DJJ has brought up the ball multiple times this season. He and his teammates are comfortable with him handling the ball. Also, I get why people say put Collins to start, but you don’t replace DJJ who’s playing great. Beal/Bogi need to be kicked off the starting lineup and have DJJ be the 2 with JC at the 4.

Hope he succeeds elsewhere." -- this is the mantra of Doc and Tye Lue as coaches. Kind of OT, but even though the worst part of the 213 Era was the trading away of SGA for PG13, but all the picks that we lost -- even if we kept and drafted young players -- would the Front Office actually pick a good player? SGA, Eric Gordon and Blake were the best first round picks of the Clippers in the last 20 years.
