Some refs give really detailed explanations to teach you why the decision was made while others don’t really elaborate.

He also really tries not to be a homer on calls, which I appreciate. I was lukewarm on him at first, but he’s grown on me. He’s def better than many other teams pbp guy.

And this should not be the identity of the Clips. Worse during Lakers games, he takes on to be the PR Director of LeBron James in the Clips telecast network!!]]> Siemens is Clipper contrarian again on 50/50 calls, like the last game v Kings.

The overturned call of Jones fouls on DeRozan late in the 4th :

Call got overturned Clips favor.
Siemens called it an “underwhelming review”.
He should have been ecstatic.

So he wants Clips challenge to be unsuccessful ?

Even the challenge by the Kings on Zu dunk on Murray’s clear blocking foul – he called it a “close call” when Murray was not set on the Zu jump
Guess what the refs decided on 😂

Siemens is consistently soft. And this should not be the identity of the Clips.

Worse during Lakers games, he takes on to be the PR Director of LeBron James in the Clips telecast network!!

I think our only hope is that the Wolves somehow overtake the Warriors for #6 and we head to SF for a play in game. The Warriors are as old as we are and not as likely to run us out of the gym so we might have a shot to win and avoid OKC. Even if it’s Denver at 2 that’s a much better matchup for us than OKC where we might be able to win a game at home. Getting swept by OKC would just be too brutal for a myriad of reasons.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I believe that Kawhi checked out against Denver in the bubble because he knew we couldn’t beat the Lakers and didn’t want to be humiliated by LeBron. The bubble was also miserable so he just wanted to go home. For this reason I won’t be surprised if they shut him down near the end of the season if our fate looks sealed. I think we need to prioritize getting out of this season with no major injuries to anyone to preserve the few assets we have—even the aging ones.

The flurry they had at the end of Q3 after the Clips big comeback was incredible execution. They took advantage of every minute that either Zu or Kawhi was not on the court to absolutely feast. Zion looked great athletically and also played a smart game. Trey Murphy also showed up. The Pels deserved to win.

As for the Clips, the game was really lost in in the first half with very sloppy defensive rebounding, a poor job getting back on defense and not getting out to deny corner/sideline 3s.

Harden, Zu and Kawhi all looked great and nearly won this game. That’s encouraging for the Clips.

Batum was good, but didn’t do enough offensively to provide that additional scoring punch needed from role players.

Dunn had a much better offensive game, but defensively I thought his matchups vs Zion weren’t that effective. His attempts to swipe the ball don’t really work against a guy as strong as Zion and it would’ve been better to have played straight up defense and take your chances on him missing.

Coffey was 4/8 from the field but a -20 on the floor. Defensively, he continues to be viewed as a buffet by opposing teams. Making him the first guy off the bench and having him as an on/off sub for Kawhi just doesn’t work. That first guy off the bench should be Bogdanovic, who has way more talent than Coffey.

Brian Shaw is not a good in game coach and his decision to take Kawhi out for Coffey for a few mins in the latter part of Q4 proved disastrous. The lead went from -4 to -9 in the 2 min that Kawhi was off and Coffey was on. Really, what was he thinking? Yes, the bench is weaker without KPJ or Mann, makes Norm’s absence even bigger.

There should’ve been minutes for Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller in this game.

The Clips have to win tomorrow vs Miami and also beat ATL (Terance Mann revenge game incoming) and salvage something out of this road trip to have a shot to keep pace with Minnesota and GSW.

Have never had much luck at Smoothie city and so had lil faith we could pull this off. Can make up for this L with a better effort in So. Beach. Sure KL airballed that 3 but Harden missed badly as well. I think we need some better clutch options there. And, Zu did not get enough shots. We can do better and we will. Need Norm and Ben.

At the end of the day this is still a loss to the 2nd worst team in the West. We need to clean house in the FO and give the new FO a mandate to hold a fire sale in the offseason.

Boy was I wrong. now I have to watch the games on mute becuz I can’t stand him. I like Jim Jackson & Fratello too bad Brian ruins their great content.

Murphy and CJ +Alvarado throwing them through from deep and Zion blasting by everyone. We may have been better with Norm and possibly won, but that’s not saying much given no Herb Jones. I doubt we’l fall out of the play in but I think the verdict is in on our ceiling tonight.

He’s always oblivious and his emotions rarely match the flow of the game. And worst of all he’s continuously missing keys subtleties while bloviating about the type of stuff you mention. It always feels like he’s auditioning for a network or TNT gig and not particularly invested in this team.

I don’t need to hear stories about the coaches or players on the other team. Just stick to the game.
