Norm’s plusminus is the highest of any bench player by some margin and Norm is the main reason Mann’s on/off differential is negative (because Norm plus starters is even better than Mann and because Norm works better with Russ/Coffey/second units).

We lose a lot if Norm misses time because there’s no replacement for him on the roster

I didn’t see a ton of defensive breakdowns and I think there’s hope

I think all of it is true: 1) the refs ruined what would have otherwise been a monster of an entertaining game 2) the Pels played a great second half 3) we couldn’t match their shooting (really needed the wide open 3s PG and Norm missed for instance) 4) we couldn’t stop them in the second half

Individually, we didn’t have a lot of sub-par performances. But it sucks that it happened in a game that was so, so important. Needed more out of Bones and the backup centers imo. As a team, we left something on the table: PG and Kawhi hit a lot of tough shots and were aggressive which is great. But it was tough shots. Not being able to play team offense, moving the ball without turning it over hurt us badly, especially in the 4th. We didn’t have the quick passes out of double teams like vs Chicago. And we lacked depth, another contributor on offense.

It’s okay to go down swinging like this while being depleted and getting a lopsided whistle. It’s the other big games we lost that put us in this position.
