It’s always difficult to be objective when analyzing ones own team because most all NBA players do something special so one has hope. But I think it’s pretty clear that the only real starting caliber player on this team is PG. All three of our bigs are really good backup bigs but not starters. Same across the board. Nic and Mook are probably good enough to start as 4th options on a contender but that’s about it. Reggie is a steady guy which is fine off the bench. Same for Bledsoe, Luke et al. That’s why when I see guys like Boston I’m wanting to see them get some burn rather than watch the same old journeymen play .500 ball. Short of some other player breaking out we’ll be lucky to make the play in. Not sure who will win Wednesday but it’s a coin flip which is sad.

I didnt watch but from the comments, i can see that tonight was NOT a great night. Well, this these kind of nights can be expected from a team missing their best defender (Batum) , and by far their best player (Kawhi). PG needs the ball out of his hands; I dont know what the solution is, but we cannot keep on letting him give up dumbass turnovers every night.

What happen to our youngsters, Boston, Scrubb and Keon?

If you’re gonna rest Marcus, do the same with PG and Serge. Let the young guys on the 2nd of a back to back. Cmon Ty, you’re better than this.

Yup. That would work. Bring some energy to the start. This game would of been completely different without PG turning the ball over so many times that led to points in the first half.

My lesson from ths game is that w/o Kawhi not only are we obviously not at the level of Golden State/Phoenix/Utah, but we as fans apparently can’t *expect* wins against anyone, no matter how terrible the opponent is. I have no idea how the game against the Kings will go, but after witnessing this loss, I won’t be surprised no matter what happens.

With this loss, perhaps try something else Lue.
Like replacing Bledsoe with Mann in the starting lineup.

I can’t believe this squad is so reliant on Batum, who may not be ready to play until next week.

Take PG out for the last 3 minutes of this game. He just doesn’t have it tonight and needs to sit. Let some other guys actually play and shoot the ball.

Ugh. That might be ball game. Still time, but those were big 3 point misses. Clips don’t have the D tonight to stop them consecutively and I guess the 3point shot isn’t going to drop tonight. Damn.
