Look at this game: he tried too hard to not make mistakes/take outside shots and it often results in forced passes into traffic, a drive into traffic or 4-on-5 offense. Because what’s the alternative? Him taking the jump shots with (irrational) confidence, taking some bad shots over the course of the game but without hesitation or indecisiveness.

We don’t get a perfect player (damn sure not for 4 million a year and with that defense) so which version is preferable? The Russ who avoids mistakes and won’t shoot from outside or decisive Russ who takes 2-3 shots too many?
