I agree with all of this except the Warriors win being a fluke thing. The Warriors are actually that terrible. Them tickling the 8th spot is a fluke.

If the Mavs stomp us then I’ll start to worry. The Pels are young and big and athletic which the Mavs are not. I think TL kept minutes under control pretty well tonight and if so I’m expecting us to come out smoking. Let’s give the Pels some credit. When you have guys in their prime and are aiming for a championship you sacrifice youth and energy for savvy and experience. You can’t have it both ways so if some young bucks get hot on you it’s pretty difficult to recover. The upside to this is that the veteran team normally doesn’t have to square off against this ilk in the playoffs and will be on equal footing energy wise amongst the other veteran contenders. The game slows down to where things like strength, stamina and efficiency take over. I just hope to hell that some of these boner losses of late don’t come back to haunt us in terms of seeding. Really need #3 at least.

I think Kawhi is a terrific player who benefited from playing in a great system in SA and w/ a great overall team that caught a LOT of lucky breaks in TO.

He’s both incredible and overrated, IMO. and maybe if there were a better supporting cast/coaching staff around him, okay. But there’s not. He’s just unfortunately not on the level the team needs w/ what else is on the roster.

Plenty to criticize in tonight’s loss, including the stars! But if you start with something demonstrably untrue, you essentially ensure nobody will take you seriously.

Literally the only bright side I can think of right now, and it’s only a bright side in theory, is that theoretically this should light a fire under the team to come out angry against the Mavs.

…but really, I feel like I’ve been saying this shit all season, so who knows. We’re just as likely to win by 20 as lose by 20. I guess that’s what happens when your defense isn’t very good, and the game overall is so dependent on 3-pt shooting.

Where the hell was the effort on defense? Missing Bev cannot be this bad.

I don’t feel too confident about tomorrow against Mavs that embarrassed them by 50 points without porzingis. I would appreciate it if they show more heart on the defensive end even if they lose.
