Openly criticized by an old bum and management does nothing. No big deal that he has a year on his contract. Tucker should have been dumped. It would have been addition by subtraction. It sent the wrong message to the players for multiple reasons.

The Clippers, including Lue, have lost control of this team.

George and Leonard do not pass the ball nearly as much as they need to. And forget about either player boxing out anyone.

How do you expect a rebuild with no lottery picks for 6 years? Tanking would just guarantee good picks and swaps for other teams.

There is no stalling a rebuild because there is no incentive to tank until the 2029-2030 season and every reason not to. It’s either build a championship team through trades, or at least a mediocre playoff team to sell tickets until 2029.

The truth is that Craig, a defensive minded coach, will make the team better since they have many good defensive players.

It is the system of the coach. Not the current free wheeling style.
And when the team loses, simply blame the players … not doing what they supposed to do, being soft … Coaches lose games, not players.

I would haven the opportunity with Craig since months ago, and the legendary Pat Riley may concur, since the status quo would be the same old, same old, diminishing results. And this needs to stop. Ballmer needs to milk what is left of this season.

As for this team lacking any sense of “kill or be killed” mentality: that was all lost when they brought in Harden and threw out all of their wings with defensive prowess — albeit on their last legs. Still, loved the trade for seemingly nothing at the time, but the team needs that “bully tone setter” that MMS was for us in his prime (Sure, I know the Bobby Portises and Naz Reids don’t grow on trees). That’s been a staple for us during those years with Montrezl, Pat Bev, and the aforementioned Morris Sr. There’s zero sense of resilience in this team — aside from a year 16 Russ.

Mann needs the green light to score more — he’s as good as they come scoring around the basket. Harden should just focus on setting up easy buckets for everyone else. And the way we’re built, they’ll need a whole lot of scoring to win games. But, damn it’s hard when neither Harden or PG is giving us any consistency in being that solid second option scorer. Norm should NOT be the 2nd most reliable scorer. And yes, Bones needs more PT but damn does he like to run around and look for his own shot in trying to rebuild his market value.

Seems like Ballmer, the FO, and Ty would rather continue to shit the bed. If we fill it up enough maybe it’ll stink up the joint so bad somebody else will come and clean it up for us.

Like I don’t think Green is likely to ever turn into a superstar (or reach PG13’s peaks), but my point is there is untapped potential there, whereas we’re a lot more certain that PG13 is done being a top 25 player, and he’s just going to get worse from here on out. Also PG13 clearly wants a bag this summer, which is not ideal for Houston, considering adding PG13 even just straight up for Green doesn’t make them contenders – at *best* they go from play-in to a 4-6 seed (i.e. where we are right now).

But hey, if Houston wants to give us Green plus picks for PG13 this Summer I’d be totally on board w/ that.
