Oh no doubt, he’s not a guy you can throw out there every game, he’s a situational guy.. I’m not trying to say he’s an elite defender & needs min lol.. Indy not having a full roster def changed things for everyone, & everyone benefited from it.. Just saying that last night, he was great & couldn’t have asked for a better performance

Patterson is always in the right place, he’s a really smart player. But between size and foot speed it’s hard for him to find matchups where he can be effective. I think we were lucky that Indiana was missing size with Turner and forward offense with TJ Warren.

Again, go back & watch, he was GREAT in defense!

As slow as he is, he moved his feet & stayed in front of the guys on the perimeter.. You are right that he doesn’t offer much on the glass or rim protection though but he makes up for iI.. Can’t EVER knock his effort & his ability to always be in the right place.. Something you can’t say about the other 2 centers, Serge to a much lesser degree.. & this is me nit picking every single one of his possessions, some 3-4 times to see what everyone else is doing.. & I’m not taking into account that this was his 1st game in who knows how long.. It’s even more impressive when you take that into consideration

Basically would have to be Fi for him, which you’d have to consider, given Fi is likely to be shipped out anyways, just to open up a roster spot and make space under the hardcap. Will Porter be better than any of the buyout guys, probably hard to know at this point. But I do like he would be a potential young piece this team doesn’t have.

Doubt it happens, as this FO seems to value “locker room” guys

Thoughts on potentially going after KPJ? We’re so limited on assets I feel like trying to buy low on high potential guys is smart. I get he has problems off the court but hopefully our lockeroom and players can help him work through everything and mature.

I think there’s a lot of jumping to conclusions after the Clippers have feasted on a weak schedule. They could very well move Lou, but it won’t be because of this game.

Patterson is bad defensively man. He was fine enough in this game just due to circumstances, but he’s slow on the perimeter and doesn’t offer any rim protection or rebounding.
