I was skeptical of hiring Kobe’s best friend, but he somehow put together one of the best rosters in 2019-2020. How he f%*$ up the Lakers since then somewhat amazing considering like everyone wanted to come back and no one got like a ridiculous offer they couldn’t match.

Good game and finally some good shooting. These guys play hard and have some decent ball players. Really hoping for a .500 road trip. That would be mission accomplished from this group.

Yep. I like a lot of their players–Conley, Mitchell, Rudy and Clarkson–but there’s something soulless about them in the aggregate. Don’t worry, the Lakers are going to lose so many games this second half of the season it will be breathtaking. Getting Amare’ Stoudemire (Davis) back wont’ move the needle that much for them either.

Reggie’s been trying to fill big shoes this season, as opposed to his role last season of “catch-and-shoot and occasionally bail us out” – some guys can adjust to higher usage better than others.

Sidenote: I dunno how Gobert puts up w/ that offense, man. I know he’s not like a Jokic or Embiid, but guys like Clarkson and Bogdanovic are constantly chucking contested 3’s from the outside while he’s got Stanley Johnson or THT pinned under the basket? And he’s expected to clean up everyone’s mess on defense? No wonder nobody believes in the Jazz.

Reggie’s shooting percentage has been way off this season, not sure why. Hopefully he gets it going. “I’ll take any win we can get at this point” — same here. Fakers are bad news this season and their entitled fans are confused and angry. Westbrick actually made a three-pointer in the first half!

Clips scored 14 pts in the last 4 min of the game – damn impressive, considering how they’ve been shooting lately.

Batum was amazing in the 2nd half, but we really need some steadiness/consistency outta Reggie – the team looks *so much* better when he has a decent game like he did tonight.

Game probably shouldn’t have wound up as close as it was, but I’ll take any win we can get at this point.

Re: standings-watch – OKC couldn’t beat Dallas for us, but hopefully Utah wakes up after halftime and beats the Lakers.
