He is consistently prone to TOs season to date.

Being an anointed, he played 17 minutes straight to end the game. Ty must know when to quit (playing Wall) while ahead so as not to cause Clips games. There are other players on the bench that are less TO prone.

I don’t think he has a high Basketball IQ. We have absolutely no answer for Aaron Gordon. From the time he went to Denver, he killed us. Morris is useless against him. We need a big athletic rebounding forward (Moussa) to replace Morris in the starting lineup. Morris needs to come off the bench.

Let Powell be Vinnie Johnson. Instant offense coming off the bench. Like most writers here, I do not understand Ty Lue at all. His mismanagement of Mann. He mishandled Reggie. His overuse of Wall. His rotations. Is he trying to get fired so he gets paid?

  • Klutch (Ty & Wall) is thicker than Clippers.

Lue propping up JW is good for their biz 😘

Free Reggie, Mann, and RoCo. Fewer minutes for Wall, Norm, and MM.

I’d say Reggie is far more reliable but far less explosive than Wall. It’s just that Wall is a big reason we lose games while Reggie (when he plays) is not.

It’d be one thing if Wall were balling out for us, but last night was probably his best game of the season and at best it was “3 ok quarters and 1 disastrous quarter.” Dude hasn’t done shit for us historically and isn’t helping currently – I don’t get the logic of alienating Reggie, who hit a ton of big shots during our run to the WCF and helped keep us afloat last year. Reggie hasn’t been great this year, but he’s been less of a problem than Wall.

Wall has a favorable looking article out right now. You can look at the Clips’ 22 wins this season and Reggie has made a positive impact in probably 2/3rds of them. Yet, he’s constantly getting hit and undermined and Wall keeps getting pumped up. I think that’s a problematic dynamic. If you want to upgrade at PG and package Reggie in a trade to get someone like D’Angelo Russell, fine. I might not agree with it, but I can’t say that it’s not a rational or logical move on paper. The Wall investment and promotion just makes no sense at all.

Earlier on Ty forced the Wall-Norm-Luke and Reggie-Wall-Norm trios, and last night he forced Wall-Norm-MM onto us. Prime Hakeem and Draymond Green couldn’t make up for those lineups’ shortcomings. None of this shit is complicated – we’re just overanalyzing because it’s so hard to believe Ty can’t (or refuses to) see what we’ve seen all year. We don’t have a Wall problem – we have a “our coach is stubbornly continuing to overuse Wall” problem and/or “our FO is forcing our coach to overuse Wall due to politics” problem.
