I think they sit the next Utah game, once we have this and Cleveland in the bag, then it’s more house money.

Russ/Mann/Norm/Coffey/Zu is small but all good players.
Bones/Boston Jr./Theis/Tucker/Plumlee hey we finally get our tall team (but…).

I still think we can beat a tanking Utah, but we need the win so we can rest the next Utah and Houston game and give our stars 10 days off before the playoffs.

of note is that Cleveland is on a b2b when they play us Sunday, playing the Lakers at 12:30pm on Saturday too, so we should be more than a slight favorite to win but it is a day game so who knows what we’ll do. No teams can really rest, even the top 3 teams are fighting it out. It’s fun and crazy and thanks to the play-in most teams have something to play for. The schedule maker gods blessed us with 2 games against Utah this late in the season when they were darlings last year.

Agree wholeheartedly. If you look at the pivotal points of the game where we outplayed Denver, Zu, Mann and Amir each had key roles. Amir in the first half and first part of Q4; Mann in Q3; Zu in Q3 and especially crunch time in Q4. It’s really those 3 guys that are going to be the difference makers in the title run. If you look at the 2022 GSW championship team, although Steph was the clear MVP the reason GSW won each series was because their rotation 1-8 was better than that of their opponents. We have that type of rotation, with better depth at the top b/c we have a big 3.

“Zu was huge. So was Mann and Amir.” — they are our core. These guys continue to be a good foundation, we have a chance to weather the bad portions of any game with solid play.

This may be insignificant, but when PJ checked out after picking up that silly tech, Kawhi patted him and seemed to give him a few words of encouragement. Isn’t this about how we have to play to win (less techs, but all out sheer effort?).

Yes, we need PG and the Beard to play well, but everyone has to contribute.

Hell, Jokic should win another MVP — that dude is unstoppable and can do everything.

But, if you just stop him from getting 38 vs. 36 and cut off some passing lanes, maybe you get a chance to win an ugly game. Win is a win.

Grateful for the win.

Lue being Lue, started Tucker. Moronic. I keep thinking about the “doing things over and over.” Tucker did have a few good moments in the 2nd half laying his body on Jokic but negated everything with a stupid tech.

Zu was huge. So was Mann and Amir.

Harden was saved by the lack of blitzes/doubles from the Nuggets.

The Clippers were rolling when they were passing the ball. This all ended about the 6-minute mark of the 4th quarter. Suddenly George reverted to ISO. When the Clippers move the ball crisply, they are really tough. When they don’t, they are mediocre.

I hope Lue doesn’t use Tucker more. I would like Tucker not to be used at all.

Let’s see how it goes with the Jazz.

also crazy that we only shot around 38% and still won :-). but obviously it was that second quarter and our efficient FT% as opposed to Denver.

definitely agree with sitting harden; but i think pg should play – just blow the doors off and he can rest :-). also, love zu and the fts, but he was missing a lot of shots early, plus missing the layup at the end made it too interesting :-). and it should seemed like they didn’t look for norm in the second half like they should have – harden kept doing too much iso, and only looking for pg. and i think tucker did a great job and what he was supposed to do; let the team play one-on-one d, so to take away passing opportunities for joker. you really want him to score a lot; since that means others aren’t scoring – especially the bench players :-).

Crazy anomally. Denver had 11 threes to our 7 and we still won. That doesn’t happen often.
