I’m usually with you on Club Optimism, but this year’s team has a lot of problems — stubborn coach and old players.

As with most teams, the preseason is always filled with hope, but we all understood that we have an old team filled with injury prone stars.

No one predicted Beal’s season ending injury, but Kawhi being out for unknown amount of time with this now mystery foot injury. We can’t rely on KL. Agreed with JPO that won’t be able to trade KL.

Coach Lue — we are married to him. Coach has to make the right adjustments and not do his trademark micro ball.

For the 2-guard position, we need Bogi to be that cold-blooded professional scorer.

Can’t worry about the whole season. Just realign for each game.

I’m not watching until after Christmas, and I’m really going on the box score and reading the Board’s excellent comments.

I am over Leonard. I don’t see him as a positive anymore. Someone will need him at the trade deadline. A team will become desperate and overpay for him.

Lopez is like that blind squirrel who bumps into an acorn whenever he hits a 3. Lopez had a wonderful career, but it’s over for him—time to play Yanic.

Zu is the hub of the team. He is there every game. He’s indispensable.

I want to see more of the 2 Kobes and Cam.

The Clippers need a new coach/voice.

Possibly, but why not?
You root for the team. You have your whole right to criticize them, get down on losing and feels like there is no way out.
Or you could see the progress while losing, get your hope up and wait to see them improve.
By probability, you stack up youth, talent and injury free roster and your chance of success is sky high.
But then again, life is not perfect.
You try your best with what you’ve got and let’s see how it goes.

Just watched the full game. Tough matchup. Have to double the hot Joker. Turn him into a passer–all you can hope for. I liked the way Miller and Sanders ganged up on Gordon—cut him down to size a lil bit. Young and feisty defenders.
Revising my ideas on whose outside shot can be trusted. I’ll take Miller/Kobe Sanders all day long over Dunn, Bogi and DJJ. These younguns can shoot. Seems the young guys are working on their shooting. More please.

Don’t get me wrong but I’m curious about your optimism. We just lost a piece to a season ender, a piece most thot would be a good Norm replacement. We’re a vet laded team — old and slow. Two of our acquisions are relics. Kawhi’s injury woes continue so that we’ve become numb to them. We probably can’t entirely rely on our youth to rise in the standings. But you see us bouncing back — is that just blind hope?

Someone please explain the Beal injury to me. He has a fractured hip. Did this JUST happen in the last Phoenix game? Or was this already an issue before the season started?

Or was it an issue before LAC acquired him? This would be a big deal.
