I thought it was fair.. His switching on defense is still lacking a bit.. He didn’t get a single rebound & was shaky offensively.. I’ve always thought he was a poor offensive player & passer so that’s not a shock or anything.. I just hope he keeps on improving cuz that’ll give this team a major boost

Pretty much.. + if you read the game thread I joked how Fi costed him 3 points at the end of the half lol +/- is a real tricky stat.. Now, do I think he had a big impact on the game, no but he was solid & didn’t hurt them which is all you truly want from your 3rd string guard.. My thing is, as soon as he steps foot on the floor he’s being criticized, like let the guy play 1st before talking shit

That was not an easy win to get and was bound to be ugly in spots. We lost our best player with 6 minutes left and Denver rolling and still held them off—and this was in Mile High City. The overall efficiency of this team is only going to improve and once Kennard starts knocking down threes we will be lights out. For all the hype about the Lakers “guarantee” to repeat let’s remember just how difficult that is to do for any team and the odds are simply against them. For this reason along with how surprisingly good we look I think we are poised to win the West. Utah is the one team that scares me and we’ll see how that looks about a week from now.

He did his assignment! Didn’t give anything up, was always in the right position, made the correct switches & played the pick n roll good, which is key against them.. That’s playing good defense! I mean what else do you want? Steals aren’t gonna be had in every possession..

I think that +/- can be useful it but has to be carefully contextualized and we need to remember that all 10 guys on the floor are responsible for it. Reggie’s +/- ended up negative because a big chunk of his minutes came pressed into duty in the mid-2nd half because of Pat’s foul trouble. He was on the floor in good lineups and didn’t make much of an impact either way, Denver made a bit of a rally during that stretch which is to be expected given time, score, and quality of opponent. Not really anything to read into there except that maybe the rally could have been staved off if Beverley hadn’t committed so many bad fouls.
