I’ve been following Adam Ausland over on YouTube’s Clippers Talk after games. It is pretty hilarious to read the chat comments and see Adam start yelling.

It is also great because Adam is doing a Clippers Talk, daily — sometimes from a random parking lot in his local Burbank area.

He said that his neighbors were complaining from his late evening yelling while broadcasting Clippers Talk.

It is so Clipper Nation to have our radio host broadcast from some random Burbank parking lot.

Indeed, a Jeckyl and Hyde two games.

Also, not unheard of to win by 20+ one night, then another night lose by 20+.

Why great players get paid so much — being consistently good night after night (except for PG).

It was nice to maintain a 30+ lead. Nice to see our 3-balls go into the hoop.

What was with all those call reversals?

Clips lost the Denver game b/c James Harden played like he was hung over. He turned the ball over too many times and forgot how to dribble. When the team went on the run in Q2 and got up +5 early in Q3 I thought they were on track to win the game. I was impressed with how they played at both ends over that period. But then Harden started turning the ball over again and generally had an unsteady handle and the Clips couldn’t survive the Denver run.

The Utah game was the polar opposite. The big 3 of Harden-Zu-Norm took the game seriously from the on set, took it upon themselves to attack and score and they did. It’s rare in NBA blowouts when the top scorers dominate the scoring. It’s usually about role players getting hot. Not so vs Utah as the Clips got to over 140 points. I think it’s a sign for how the team will play when Kawhi gets back. The top 4 guys are going to take the most shots and take it upon themselves to score the ball. The 5th guy has to play D, get loose balls and the occasional open 3. It’s kind of exciting to think about.

Flowers gives off Cam Johnson vibes. I agree they both look like good finds. That was a good game for the SD Clips.

Another interesting article about our team’s defense.
Not as exciting to read after 3 games slides, but a good analysis anyway.
Us when healthy will be a fierce defensive team. We’ll see.

This guy plays hard and fearless.
And it looks like Christie will adapt to physicality in the pro and come out ready to make the next step, hopefully starting from next year.
We have talents on hand. Let’s see how it goes.

Not to complain, but has anyone noticed that the Clips have THREE road games at Denver this year? A notoriously difficult place to play because of the altitude; and no other team (other than the Nugs) have more than two.

I know this has to do with the “TBD” games left over from the In season tourney … But couldn’t they give us a road game vs a team we’re only visiting once (Portland, Utah, Memphis)?

Well that was borderline unwatchable–in fact, I switched to radio for Q4. Carlo is such a homer. Some takeaways:
–as usual, no one can stop bully ball Gordon–even PJs name briefly entered my consciousness
–Denver at home and at near full strength is basically unbeatable, even with Russ
–We sorely miss DJJ and TMann (“don’t know what ya got til it’s gone”)
–KPJ is winning me over, again–how bout that very fancy baseline move
–James with 9 TOs? The “system” needs to be rebooted
–KD was very good on both sides but he can only do so much heavy lifting
–Miller was invisible–he’s got to be better
–Bones can shoot

So, if this is what we got vs. Jazz, we don’t have much of a chance based on what the Jazz did last nite–check their productive box score even tho in a loss to a more potent Sun’s team. If ur ever going to mutter “must win,” it’s Utah Monday. Gotta somehow get that one.
