2nd question; what happened to MP jr on the 2nd half? Did he even play. They were talking him up then It seems like he just disappeared.

Thinking about Kawhi, hope he’s OK. That was a lot of blood.

This one ended up being a bit more stressful especially in the 4th quarter when Murray decided to go nuclear and we had so many key players in foul trouble and then Kawhi getting injured. But thankfully we withstood Denver’s furious onslaught (those guys seem to really have it out for us), stayed poised, and kept executing to the gameplan to hold on for the win. That’s the key difference that results from having a much better coach and higher IQ player additions like Serge and Batum.

Some things I really liked tonight:

1) BATUUUUUUUUUMMMMM!!!! This guy has been an absolute revelation so far. He’s quite literally been the 3rd best (maybe even the 2nd best?) player on the team through these first 2 games. I honestly don’t want to see Mook replace him in the starting line up at this point. He is clearly the best passer on the team and is doing EVERYTHING well. Hitting his open 3’s, making great passes, smart defensive reads, tremendous rebounding. WHAT A STEAL to have gotten him for the minimum. WOW!

2) Ty Lue’s offense. Assists galore. Players moving, ball zipping around, tons of wide open 3’s. Fantastic!

3) Ibaka as a strech 5 is a great weapon against Jokic and we can expose him in the P&R now with Ibaka’s threat to pop that we didn’t have before.

3) “Vaccine P”… Paul George is making a statement to all his haters this season and if he keep this up he’s gonna be firmly in the MVP conversation

Some things we need to clean up:

1) Fouls… Stupid and unnecessary fouls. We have got to be more disciplined and be able to play defense and set screens without fouling. ESPECIALLY BEV!!!!!! He’s picking up a foul like every 2 minutes on the court this season. It’s hurting the team and he needs to play smarter!

2) Turnovers. I can understand we have alot of new players still learning each other and a new system, but we’ve just got to take better care of the ball.

3) Kawhi’s injury. I just hope it’s noting serious and that he’s able to be back on the court next game.
