So, of the current staff, maybe JVG. I don’t know who is out there on the market.

But there was not enough of a game plan for this series.

I am VERY disappointed in Harden. He may have had some good numbers and assists in some games. But as the PG, ball-handler and leader; he did not make enough in-game adjustments to change the direction and succeed.

His being “The System” was a failure.

Harden’s just gonna get older, and at some point he isn’t gonna be able to carry a team throughout the regular season. Kawhi is an injury risk at any and all times. Zu, Norm, DJJ, and Dunn just had career years but Norm and Dunn are on the wrong side of 30 (and so is Bogi), and Zu and DJJ are 28. Nico had to be bubble wrapped for the postseason and could very well retire this summer. Ben Simmons was a good signing for the buyout market, but he’s obviously a shell of himself and he’s also a huge injury risk. All of this is to say the entirety of our postseason-worthy rotation is likely to decline going forward, either due to injury or age.

So no, I’m not necessarily desperate for a fire sale like I was at various points during this past season, but I absolutely think we should be looking to move guys (minus Zu) if we get serious offers. Also re: Ty, I agree that he has definite, glaring weaknesses (re: smallball fixation, refusal to play young guys), but the guys seem to love him, and Ballmer just gave him an extension last summer, so I really, really doubt he’s going anywhere. Not sure I’d swap him for Malone or Jenkins, but the discussion is at least an interesting one, and I can see why some folks are advocating for those guys.

If Denver plays defense against SGA without fouling

Between SGA, Jokic, and Murray, the refs are gonna decide so much of the OKC-Denver series, man. Refs + whether or not Lu Dort hurts someone important are gonna be the key ingredients.
