Whichever team wins, our series will either end Thursday evening in LA, or sometime Saturday (could be matinee, could be evening) in Denver.

If it ends Thursday in LA, the series could start anytime that weekend–Saturday matinee is on the table, which is the worst-case scenario, but you could also get a Sunday game 1 depending on the bigger TV picture. You’d be flying from LA to OKC.

If it ends Saturday in Denver, the series could start Monday or Tuesday, again depending on the bigger TV picture, but guaranteed evening because it’s a weeknight. Shorter flight from Denver to OKC, but if LAC is the team making it, it’s a big mental shift to go from G7 in Denver to G1 in OKC without going home in between.

Whatever… just win the series, and worry about what’s next next.

I don’t think this is fair at all. Ty made two really bold choices–the switch to zone defense, and playing his 3 scoring guards together for the first time this series (especially bold because Bogi hasn’t been good)–that facilitated the big comeback run. It didn’t happen by accident–and I didn’t love that he pulled those levers in that moment, I actually rolled my eyes and thought “typical Ty, going all offense to respond to adversity”… and then he was right.

This was my fear with the Dunn lineups, he’s been amazing thus far but they finally decided to fully leave him. Before they were doubling off of him at times, but this game Adelman decided to fully ignore him and he couldn’t pay it off. It might need to start being 6 min to start the 1st and 3rd and that’s it. Bogi guarded pretty good today, if he can do that then I think we can play him.

They blew up our pick and roll which took Harden out of the game. If Dunn hits those shots then we’d be ok, but I don’t think we can chance the game on that. But even beyond that, the level of difficulty it puts on our pick and roll actions and then Kawhi getting late doubles makes it tough to play for too many minutes.

I don’t see how Denver could stop a few of our lineups like Harden/Norm/Bogi/Kawhi/Zu and Harden/Norm(or Bogi)/Kawhi/Batum/Zu should absolutely crush offensively. Obviously you’re giving back some on defense. I think the pick and roll can still work with Jones replacing Dunn for more defense since while you can leave Jones at the 3 point line you can’t fully lose sight or leave him or it’s gonna be a dunk.

At this pt, I’m more than happy if we do qualify for the 36 hr turnaround. Why? B/C Den has won back the HCA, and has plenty of starting 5 talent.
