Gonna be tough to win that game vs Detroit after LAC messed them up at the Dome. Still, a good team manages to win 4 or 5 games a year that they had no business winning. LAC is sort of due for one of those (though they kinda got that the other night vs GSW, surviving a Steph heater with no legit ball handler on the floor).

I don’t think Harden is a good passer out of double teams and has a high turnover rate.

Good game from Miller.
I’m glad that both him and Sanders get a chance to play and doing good with it.

Really solid, professional effort from LAC. Good defense on MPJ and a disciplined approach on offense.

Zu did not have the gaudy statistical line as he did vs NYK, but I thought he really set the tone early drawing the double team and getting the offense going with rhythm passing out to the 3 pt line and to Collins on the back door, while clearing driving lanes for Kawhi and Harden. Also liked his defense tonight, including his range from the paint to the 3 pt line. He didn’t get a lot of shot attempts and flubbed a few dunk attempts, but he made an impact on the game. With Kawhi going the way he is, Zu may not get a steady diet of shots from game to game, but his overall impact was present.

Liked seeing Jordan Miller go off and Harden was effective scoring the ball early. John Collins has been playing very well of late and credit to the guards and Zu for getting him the ball in positions where he can finish.

Kawhi got some hits early, kind of coasted a bit as the ball just kept moving and the point distribution was solid, but then delivered points late to make sure this result was not in question.

LAC needs to go 8-2 in these 10 games (inclusive of this one). It’s going to be tough to win vs Detroit, but LAC is going to have to find a way to go above and beyond and outperform. They have to win games they’re not expected to win. They did that vs GSW the other night (minor miracle that they won the game with no ball handlers on the floor).

Lopez wasn’t terrible tonight. He was actually decent, but I’d rather see YKN get minutes. Dunn’s minutes were a little down to 22 as Miller cooked. Would really like to see Dunn down to 18 mins and the 9 extra minutes being distributed among Sanders/Miller.

And no Shai or Chet. We need to pull out a weird one tomorrow. If I’m not mistaken, Harden burned the Pistons for 50 and Kawhi tagged them for 55 in our last two meetings. They won’t be overlooking this one but if their anger becomes unbridled and we get hot we might be in it. It’s a schedule loss so even if we take the L we have some much easier games coming up.

Also Bogi’s contract is (in all likelihood – it’s a team option) up this summer whereas TMann’s runs another 2 years. It hurt to lose Mann, but the picks, the contract, and most of all the fact that we weren’t winning it all even w/ him, makes me think trading him was the correct move.

Sieman is insufferable and that’s a good word to describe him. For me, I can’t listen to him — at all. But you know Ballmer must like him so that tells you a lot about Ballmer–or maybe he’s just being a nice guy and let the guy do his thing. Probably comes very reasonable too.
