The one decent area of depth for the Clips is wing defense – Bledsoe, Mann, Batum, and Keon (though still raw) can all make Harden and Mills work for their points.

…after watching Bones smoke him on multiple occasions last night, Luke should not be asked to check Harden or Mills.

I don’t know what to make of this game. We’re just so thin that it’d take a xmas miracle for us to pull it off expecially on a B2B. Am kinda interested to see what if anything our feisty younguns can to with Harden. No easy points please. Make him work. And, of course, guard Mills or he’ll burn you. As for Blake, ‘d dare him to shoot.

Can’t see Reggie and Bled effectively starting together. Both need the ball too much. As I said, Bled’s thriving now as the no. 1 initiator.

I’m still not sold on Steve Nash as a coach so that’s one area we should have the advantage. Also nationally televised so there will be some pride on the line.

We’re missing 4 of our starting 5 players, and one of our best bench players – Clips are definitely playing w/ house money tonight.

I think Bled’s issue w/ the previous starting 5 is that he’s really at his best on the ball, and he was 3rd option behind Reggie and PG before. He just isn’t as good of a shooter as Luke (even Terance is a more reliable shooter) or as good of an off-ball cutter as Mann. He started playing well even before Reggie/PG went out, when he moved to the bench and got the ball in his hands more often.

I think Bled and Reggie can and should start together when Reggie returns next week, with Terance at SF. Then based on how the next month goes, you bench one of those two ball-dominant guards when PG comes back.
