Usually, I’d say as a low 30% shooter, let Luka take those if he wants, but I think after he hits one or two in a row you have to be quick and make a change to not let him get too comfortable. Definitely feels like he’s a streaky shooter more than anything. Can hit 7 in a row, then miss the next 7.

With Luka’s subpar FT shooting in the playoffs, I was suggesting Zu shouldn’t even worry about fouling him on his 3-pt shot. Obviously don’t do anything dirty, but make him wonder how hard you’re going to close out the next time.

I don’t think DJ, at this point in his career after just being rescued from Houston, is going to expect regular minutes. He went for a regular minutes role on a contender a couple years ago and wasn’t good enough and they dumped him off on a tanking squad. DJ is also a 40% three point shooter and almost all of his shot attempts are threes, so he can play off Terance, hit an open shot, and then run a more traditional pick and roll if we are slowed down and pushing the pace isn’t working. He takes almost no shots between 3 and 23 feet, just either gets layups or hits spot up threes.

I would probably have DJ in a “break glass in case of emergency” role, play the current bench (Terance – Luke – Amir – RoCo – Hart) and then, if we are sputtering a couple minutes into that shift, pull whoever you need to pull to let the steady hand vet come in.

I also think that you have to prepare for Reggie, Norm, and Terance to each probably play 20-22 of the remaining 25 games with this-or-that coming up. If one of those guys is out, having a vet backup PG helps, if two are out, you need him.

I’ve also thought of using Amir has a makeshift point guard, as he seems to have a good eye for when his teammates are open and he rarely makes mistakes.

Also, in regards to the summer, do you guys think Christian Wood would be a good replacement for MM Sr?
