Harden is an absolute beast. I’m glad you pointed that out about hating him when he’s not on your team because it’s so damn true. His grifting drove me berserk back when he was roasting the league but I admitted to myself then, and am happy to say now he’s the greatest offensive player ever. Steph is the greatest volume shooter but Harden is just absolutely filthy. Joker may have something to say when all said and done but for now James is the GOAT offensive player to me. Am sure there are metrics to supports this.

This is Ty’s wheelhouse. Mixing pastels until he finds colors that work. The reason I explode over him is why TF can’t he envision anything? He always has to “see how things look” and we hemorrhage games while he’s tinkering. Then, there’s a ton of pressure on the guys late in the season to battle for playoff seeding and they wear down and get injured. The players seem to like him and are okay with this shit so I will defer to them. Let’s just take whatever we can from this season and circumstances will inform us on how we move forward at the trade deadline and in the offseason.

As for the Boston game the sober outlook is that we should just take the L and regroup hopefully with KL on Monday and then try to get on a little run. We are now fighting to avoid the play in and that is not lost—yet.

Zu’s one-man-fast-break-driving-layup is really cool More of that, please.
I want us to try to sit Harden for a game or 2.
It sounds like a disaster and likely not to end well.
But we need someone or a couple to step up and be an alpha from time to time.
Zu & Bogi is the obvious candidate.
But I guess Collins and DJJ have a chance to shine.
Also, one or two of Sanders, Miller, Cam & Brown might also break out.
This is such a weird season.
Somehow, we are truly underdog now and we thrive on it.
Let’s see.

Gotta get that win vs the Cs. We really need to win both games against Boston and Philly. Lue has to find a group that works when James is off the floor and has to insist that the offense run the way it has in the first half of the last 2 games; economical dribbling; less ball stopping, more movement.

James is the quintessential “you love him when he’s on your team and hate him when he’s not type of player. Aside from the stellar shooting, many underestimate his driving lay ins. Many, many of those are tough angled and highly contested. He’s a downright master at finishing those shots. And as for defending him, the Mavs really had no clue. James, again, is a master foul baiter and opponents just can’t seem to help themselves–whether it’s out of frustration or just being out of position. You just cannot foul James cuz he’ll kill you at the line. Better to give him space.

So, after playing 51 of 58 mins do you sit him vs. the Celts or play him? I think he plays because the Celts are wounded so we could get that one. James always says he “knows how to take care of my body.” The two guys who seem to take a lot of hits in games are James and DJJ — maybe they play it up a bit but they seem to go down a lot and get up very slowly. But then, miraculously, live to fight another day.

I think this win propels the team and there’s something about not having Beal and Kawhi that’s making Ty look less of an “like I said” idiot. Vamos a ver.

It is surreal how great Steph and James still are at this age. Especially when there’s never been more great young talent to go up against. James is the greatest player to ever wear a clippers jersey. We should enjoy this while we can.

DJJ off the bench is a major value add for this team. Brings some defensive intensity, finishing ability and is a willing 3 pt shooter. He can be a bucket getter on a second unit. Also, you can always stagger him and play him late in games when needed, as Lue did tonight. Subbing DJJ in place of Dunn in the 2nd OT probably won the Clips the game (4 pts, 1 reb, 1 stl).

I wish that Kawhi Leonard approached the game with the seriousness and intensity that James Harden does. Kawhi has gotten a free pass b/c of his health issues, but you can’t tell me the guy who has time to mess around on embarrassing deals like Aspiration and is often secretive about his own health is nearly as dedicated as Harden.

Just watching Harden and Steph go off tonight in their games is what this league is about.

Kawhi would be wise to find his way back on to the court sooner rather than later.

People forget how good Bogi was playing with Harden and Kawhi when Norm was out. Certainly, our head coach forgot.
