Even if I hadn’t watched the game (I wish I hadn’t) the box score stats reek of low energy and listless play.

A hideous 12% shooting from the 3 point arc (Mavs outscored us by 30 just on 3 pointers). Lazy and disinterested defensive effort with Mavs at nearly 50% from the field. Undisciplined lazy fouls with Mavs outscoring us by +7 on free throws. Lack of effort on fundamentals like boxing out Mavs +6 vs. us on the offensive glass. And the icing on the cake of lazy sloppy play, TURNOVERS galore, with Mavs at +12 on points of turnovers.

Those are some appalling stats and made more so because it wasn’t due to a lack of talent or ability. It was solely due to just not caring enough about consistency and process. All I heard at the start of the season was that it was about not skipping any steps this year and then just 3 games into the season after 2 big wins we decide to just coast again. WTAF man??? Didn’t last year’s bubble implosion teach us anything?
