Article in the Times how teams like the Clippers and Fakers have only practiced a handful of times. I think the Clippers number was 7 this season.

PG is shooting 35.1%
Morris is shooting 34.7%
Ibaka is 31.4%

It seems to me that a combination of fatigue, injuries and teams adjusting to our stronger shooters while giving open looks to our B-listers may be added to the reasons behind the erratic results.

I like mook back with the starters, been thinking this for a while now.
Also mook really pissed off luka in the bubble, could be a good thing or bad thing, I’ll take mook being an annoying physical pest on Luka
Any day of the week no matter if it sparks crazy deep theee pointers from luka. Lou will had some good defensive moments for sure, is good too see him with energy trying hard as hell to help out with the D. Zu had some nice finishes at the rim. Patterson either makes you think he should retire or that he should be relied apon a little bit more !??? Reggie played fairly well not much to complain about. All in all we take the W
Was a little concerning seeing Dallas catch up a bit in the last 5min .
What’s up with the practice during shoot arounds comment by sieman? Did I miss something? Have we not been able to have practices all year because of covid or something, some other excuse?
We had a healthy training camp if I remember correctly so that excuse is off the table. So what’s this about practice??(anti iverson) It will bug the hell out of me and I find out they haven’t been able to practice all season. We’ve had some chances to practice when having 2 days off here and there.. anybody know whether they e been able or not? The sieman comment made it seem like they haven’t practiced at all this season?

You could tell early they came to play. Wish it hadn’t been as back and forth/close as it was as late as it was, but will more than take it. Lineup tinkering seems to have paid dividends.

Lou Will played some great defense in that 4th Quarter. We got stops after some horrible offensive turnovers. Good win. Get ready for a rematch in 2 days. Like a mini-Playoffs.

I’m happy the Clips won, despite PG13 having a subpar overall game. And I was super happy to see him hit that 3 at the end to ice the game. And I was even more happy to see Zu ball out in his starting opportunity.

That being said, the Pelicans game, the Washington game, and the Memphis game were alarming and embarrassing enough for me to need to see more before I rejoin Club O. PG13 regaining some consistency by itself would go a long way to bringing me back though.

So after re-reading my post, it came off a bit harsher than I intended, but I don’t think I’m being unnecessarily alarmist.

The Clips have gone 4-6 in their last 10 games – PG13 has been really good for 3 games (Brooklyn loss, Washington win, and the Boston loss), he’s been ok for 3 games (Utah win, Memphis win, and Warriors win), he’s been bad for 3 games (Memphis loss, Milwaukee loss, Pelicans loss), and he missed one game (the Washington loss). And tonight he had another bad overall game (though that 3 to ice the game was a BIG shot, and hopefully a sign of things to come). That’s…not a great stretch.

I’m not saying he can’t get better and the season is over, or that we should trade him, or that “PG13 will never win a ring because of loser mentality” or anything like that – all I’m saying is I’ve been frustrated by his recent inconsistency, and that even if the Clips don’t necessarily need January PG13 (looked at his numbers again, and you’re right, that level is unsustainable), the Clips are still going to need him to at least turn those “bad” games into “OK” games in order to make a deep playoff run.

The best part of this game was actually the postgame interview with Mook by Sieman and JJ. I couldn’t find it on youtube or would have shared it but worth tracking down if you haven’t seen it. Between this and TL’s F-bomb last night it’s pretty clear they are salty as hell. GOOD!
