Without PatBev, they have little defensive intensity or cohesion. My prediction is that the Clippers, without a healthy PatBev, will lose in the 2nd round again.     Plus, even if you were criticizing the FO, it’s not like that would be unreasonable. The FO has made plenty of mistakes over the years as well.

    Either way, someone either screwed up (the FO) or is screwing up (the coach). You don’t commit that amount of money and give up Shamet for a guy to ride the bench.

    Why is this take at all controversial? I love the FO as much as anybody else, but we are still dealing with human beings in a chemistry heavy sport.

The Mavs just took it away, gave the Clips relatively good outside looks and the Clips (MM mostly) flat out missed them. If MM goes 4 – 9 instead of 1 – 9, this game is completely different. Still, that’s why MM is on the floor. Even if he’s off, he’s got to take those shots or he screws the flow of the offense.

Don’t you think that the FO and coaches are basically one and the same? The managers of any business take their cues from ownership. It’s not like elected representatives who have full authority. If a coach wants to stick around, he’ll listen carefully to the check writers.
