Exactly. PG started settling for jumpers in the 4th quarter instead of keep attacking. Hopefully Lue get in his ear on that. PG should be driving to the rack nearly every time because they have no rim protection.

Agreed. Mavs cannot stop an interior attack by the Clippers. Keep attacking the paint. Don’t just settle for jumpers. Slow down the game, get the Mavs into foul trouble.

The Clippers are doing what we know they should’ve done initially. Make Luka score all the points and stop everyone else. Now it’s time to adjust to the adjustments. Dallas is going to chose someone to get off next game and I’m thinking it’s going to be Jr. They’ll run some pin downs and floppy action to get him in the flow early then let Luka get back to work. The Clippers need to be ready for this and continue to force the Mavs into making Luka the only scorer thereby wearing him out in the 4th. Or KP starts on the block and they’ll run offense through him.. The clippers cannot rest on this game and think RC won’t come with a different game plan. Go Clips!

Not getting overconfident here. Carlisle is a mastermind and I’m sure he’ll have some new wrinkles to throw at us Sunday.

But at the same time you would think at some point the law of averages might actually bring the Mavs 3 point shooting back to some semblance of normalcy, which sure would help the cause. And hopefully Ty Lue learned some stuff with tonight’s rotations in terms of what works and what doesn’t and he won’t trot out that same death lineup that got us into a deep hole to start. If Mavs historically blazing 3 point shooting cools off to normal numbers, and we stick with the right lineups vs. Luka, and execute with the focus, energy, and intensity that we showed tonight, and our role players can hit their open 3’s at their normal percentages, then I think we’ve got a decent chance of evening up the series and coming back to LA 2-2.

Let me sum it all up this way. All Dallas needs is for Luka to score 55 and they would have won:-). Don’t underestimate what a pivotal win this was. It was the flicker of hope we all were clinging to. Sunday will be even more decisive. Anything can happen but after tonight I think we’re better than even to take this series now. The bookies believed this and we delivered. Check the line for Sunday.
