The best part about this is that virtually every Clippers hater is a Lakers lover, and it will put limits on how much they can mock us if we end up getting knocked out too. Will be hilarious if Ballmer is able to make a marketing splash with Intuit because the Lakers are an even bigger embarrassment than we are.

Knicks vs. Sixers is a crazy game.
Embiid just do all kind of reckless stuffs on the court ala Draymond and get away with it, just like him too.
One guy on Reddit said something about this and it’s both accurate and funny:
“The Brunson & Embiid thing is reaching hilarious whattaboutism levels.
One guy is 6’0” 190lbs, consistently guarded by 6’5”-6’7” wings and giving up 25-50lbs, drives and takes contact. Cant argue that he embellishes calls. The other guy is 7’0” 280lbs and topples over like he’s made of match sticks whenever someone gets near him.”
The two things are not equivalent. If Jalen Brunson is a FT merchant, Embiid is the whole damn FT market”

Next game will be a show. I quite like this Knicks team (Both I-Hart and J-Hart are good, OG is him and Deuce is a young & ferocious guard, etc.), hope they come back with a vengeance.
And Orlando might figure something out or maybe they just catch fire on shooting, I have no idea.
Banchero & F.Wagner are young and improving frontcourt duo and WCJ is a nice big guy to have. Suggs might also turn the corner on his development. Hope Fultz can find his niche.

Just can’t wait for our next game. Now it turns to “Nobody believe in us again”. I love when we are an underdog and we can prove doubters wrong. Let’s see how it goes.

We need to take advantage of their thinner depth and attached Luka hard on every offensive set. Make the whole game about how well he can defend and then score and we end up winning. Time is on our side in this series. We need to take advantage and wear him down.

I personally want to see Terance Mann initiating the offense more and attacking Luka hard.

It looks like Tim Hardaway Jr and Daniel Gafford are out for Dallas tomorrow. Dallas loses its 2 worst players in this series and gets to play its better players more minutes.

That said, Dallas’ bench is now thinner and the Clippers will have more of an opportunity to exploit matchups and weaknesses with Kidd having limited means to counter.

A lot is being made of Kleber on the court in lineups that have been successful for the Mavs, but I think that’s misleading. Game 1 was not competitive by the end of Q2. In Game 2, Kleber was a +9 and most of that came during the dreaded Q4 oddball line shifts that Lue had after we got up +6 (rusty Kawhi, no Russ, going small w/o Zu, ineffective Norm instead of Mann). One would hope that Lue will clean that stuff up by Game 3 and that Kawhi will be better or at least use better shot selection judgment relative to his leg strength.

Also we have a lot more hope than just Kawhi going nuts, like Norman Powell having an average game. Or PG having a good offensive game. Or giving Ty a chance to coach because as Richard Jefferson says, ‘the losing team has the advantage.’

I assumed we were going to lose our first game with Kawhi back, but wish it wasn’t in a game at home that I thought we had a really good chance of winning. I’m assuming we keep it even with a win in game 4 after a loss in game 3 and get Kawhi fully ramped up in time for game 5 back at home.

We played a great game generally speaking. I love our rebounding efforts and we managed to keep turnovers low. Our shooting was really weak and I think it was mainly due to the shots we were taking. The offense lacked a lot of the flow we saw in game 1 and Kawhi looked ice cold. One area that really baffled me is how we didn’t attack Luka and Kyrie when they were on defense. We had so many opportunities to go straight at Luke only to set a screen and get switched off him. Makes no sense to me. Luke might not be the worst defender on the mavs, but we should take advantage of every opportunity to make him work especially with how versatile our offense is. Worst case scenario, we miss the shot, but increase the chance luka misses a shot due to fatigue later in the game. Luka was super hot and I feel like we didn’t due much on offense to wear him down.
