Weak point here is that Mathurin’s 3 can be erratic, and we don’t want Lopez shooting 3s. It will require Garland to do some of what James did: shoot 3s off the bounce.

But adding him in this mix makes us a very tough out.

But I wanna throw something out here–indulge me. Le’t say very shortly we get back a healthy Garland and Collns. We all know that Collins is a pretty studly player. But as to Garland—let’s just say he plays up to his stats — 20 pts, 7 assists (40% from 3). (How much would Dunn love those stats?)

So here’s the question: how good would the clips theoretically be given these 2 coming back and getting it done? I think they’d do very well. So Garland, Dunn, Collins, Brook and Kawhi–that’s 5 threats from the outside (even Dunn, he has his moments). Wilth 2d unit of Sanders, Miller, Yanic, DJJ, Nico, Cam, Bogi? — Starters look good but bench looks weak. So could go either way. Cautiously optimistic we could make it out of the play-in if all these guys can hang in there. Agree?

Modern “journalism” (…and discourse in general really) is profit-driven, and profits are driven by “engagement.” So as a consequence, unfortunately the media is almost always gonna go for the spiciest takes to trigger as many folks as possible and get that juicy, juicy ad revenue. Our system of economics has put the dumbest, loudest assholes (*cough Stephen A Smith cough cough) on a pedestal, front and center.

Basically: Indy wins and losses by Nets/Wiz/Jazz/Pels/Kings.

Not sure Ind will win a single game this season. But they do play the Kings and Nets once each. So it’s possible they end up at #2 or #3

They play the Bucks mid-March, but don’t think Bucks will have given up by then.

Of course, there’s the 2 games vs LAC! (3/4 & 3/27) That’ll be an interesting situation.

Of course this child Haberstroh is salivating and trying to speak into existence the idea of Kawhi’s contract being canceled and lists, of course, rescuing the beloved Steph Curry and the Warriors, the idolized LeBron and the Lakers, and (drum roll please) THE KNICKS? What a shocker. Do these dumb asses ever consider how utterly unfair a move like this would be to all the other teams who have built contenders only for one of these darlings to pluck Kawhi and run to the title? It’s just absurd on its face. IF Silver were to cancel Kawhi’s contract he would also bar him from joining any other team this season. And if such a fantastical thing were to happen those would be among the last teams he would join. How about the Nuggets or Spurs for starters? The culture of the NBA is getting increasingly difficult to stomach. I think I’d been done by now without 213 Hoops.

But it is what it is.
The kids play. They fight, make mistakes, learn from it and will get better.
I love the way Sanders control our tempo, when he has the ball. This kid is smart-basketball wise. He can really play. I actually think he can become secondary ballhandler that we need. Dude is a good cutter and shooter too.
Miller looks for his shot and always find the way to the rim. I feels like when DG is back and Ben takes more control, he might not get the ball much. He needs off-ball reps & skills to survive. But he’s gonna be fine.
Yanic is fire. This guy loves to hoop with a real passion and you can’t teach that. He will be a menace in the league in a couple years. Can’t wait.
I don’t need to mention Ben since lots of guys are doing that. I just want to see how he mesh with DG and all the main guys when we are, knocks on woods, fully available.
Let’s see.
