Just not this year or at least not yet when guys like Embid, Jokic, and even our man PG are having better or as great years. I look at PG and marvel as his skills at 6’8” but then Lebron can absolutely control both ends of the floor on any given possession and it’s no contest.

Obviously so much of his impact comes from his unique combination of power and speed, but my favorite part of his game has always been his offensive BBIQ and court vision.

I mean, lets be real the man is a force of nature, and he can pull up almost anywhere for three that is just amazing. I dont think he is the goat for a couple of reasons however. Lebron has to have a team almost completely constructed for him to get a championship(saying this is still a compliment, as there are very few players in NBA history that can get u a championship even with an ideal squad) his playmaking and style of play really only works when players are willing to take less touches and most just stand in the corner to shoot. (for example, Lou williams would not work in a closing lineup with lebron) He also always needs another superstar to defer to when its not working out for him when other wing superstars havent had to (i.e. MJ, Kobe, Kawhi). What really bothers me about lebron though is that he seems to get a pass on certain things when other players dont; for example people try to give an asterisk to Kawhi’s championship run in toronto because of injuries, yet almost all of lebrons championships had an injury or a suspension of key players on the opposing team, and you never really here asterisks for his championships. Lebron is also known as this playoff deity, yet he has had had multiple playoff let downs, most notably in 2011.

I didn’t like Karl Malone or Shaq’s games much either. Lebron would be a mediocre player if he was 6’2″ and I’m not even sure he’d be a starter. MJ would have been an allstar if he was Lou’s size—Iverson with defense. And despite how many finals Lebron has made on more than one occasion I watched him literally QUIT trying and sulk in elimination games. His conditioning and IQ are phenomenal but I just can’t call him the GOAT for all of the above reasons.

Seems kinda like the Terrence situation last year where he’s preoccupied with filling a role rather than just playing freely. Luke always seem stuck between “should I pass or shoot?” There was one sequence last night where he ran the two man game with Serge, the play got busted and he had an open shot in the lane, hesitated, and then forced a bad pass to Serge.
