Josh, I'm not picking on you, but this comment is the kind that makes me scream at the TV when a broadcaster does it. If PG hadn't missed that FT, everything would have been different from then on. Another timeline, so to speak. If that ball had gone in, every single action made by every single player would have varied from the ones we saw, and the sequence of events at the end of regulation would have been different. Maybe we would have won. Maybe the Lakers would have won without OT. You simply don't know.

Oh yeah, like the majority of you fans I’m looking forward to at least one, possibly a combination of two out of these three players being on our “not too distant future roster”.

I just want to say I’m really proud of our guys. If you have to lose to the Lakers let it be in overtime on the second night of a back2back with a quarter of your roster being held up in trade limbo (in Mann’s case injury). Honestly, it was a scheduled loss regardless of trade complications. One would have preferred that the trade would have happened this morning with 5 days off before the next game, but I get that our FO didn’t want to risk injury to any of our outgoing assets. I had us losing both games under the whackadoodle circumstances. Instead we handled the Magic soundly and took a fresh legged Lakers beyond the final bell.
Yes Zu looked like poop. Isn’t he dealing with some kind of leg contusion? Yes Norm’s defense was/is abysmal but I’d like to think a portion of the constant fouling was exhaustion/ holy crap, not completely unrelated, Anthony Davis is going to flop himself into an injury the way Manu Ginobli used to. Watching him crumble to the floor automatically around the basket looking for a call is disgusting. As far as Norm’s lack of defensive ability goes, hopefully Mann returns soon, because it’s not going to ever be entirely satisfactory.
For those of you giving PG13 crap for a missed free throw, watching him ice three in a row shortly thereafter ought to soften your heart a scotche’. As far as his dumb fouls, defense is this first thing to go on the second night of a back2back. He’s had a rather splendid start to this season I would say.
Good on Kawhi for getting it early. With his IQ he realised the team was going to be gassed in the second half. He wasn’t wrong.
I feel like, if we weren’t already after 11 straight wins, after this we definitely live in the ‘23-‘24 Lakers heads rent free right now. They understood the circumstances. They knew we were running at about 57%. And they still almost lost. See you in January you mothaFakers!

I know. Nonetheless, team fouling too much is becoming an issue, especially now without RoCo and with Mann still out (god, I miss the previous starting lineup already). We’re gonna be in for a lot of nights that look like Norm’s tonight: when the shots don’t fall and the whistle keeps quiet, the defense suffers and it’s a net negative

He was awful, but he wasn’t MM-level awful – he wasn’t out there chucking shots everytime he caught the ball like MM used to. Agree that he should probably only get garbage time minutes though.

PG was great. One missed free throw out of 8, more than okay. Especially when making the 3 free throws to force OT. He gotta be (much) more aware on defense though. His 5th and 6th foul were brainfarts, having a massive impact on the outcome
