Yes re the Lakes but this was all pretty predictable with how hard this team was overachieving. Harden is 35 and hitting a wall. Norm has ever played this many minutes in a season and he suddenly tries to at 31? It’s not over for us if we can somehow tread water over the next ten games, get back to full strength, and snag no less than the 7 seed. It would suck having to get bounced by the Lakers in the 1st round but at the same time how sweet would it be to upset them? I do believe in this team at full strength but getting there now is the problem.

Sooooo–GSW winning handily tonite means we slide down to 7th — painful — also makes the PHX game super crucial for their PO hopes. I’m sure they see this game–at home–as “must” win. And so should we. I’d really be POed if our guys, as a result of the two Lakes Ls, showed “I quit” body language. The last time we played those guys it was pretty plainly obvious that they had way better shooters and that was the difference.
We gotta pick up the offense to have a chance going forward as we’re not gonna win just on stout D (and it hasn’t been that stout anyway). So who picks up the slack? Ben’s not a scorer. Dont want James taking even more shots. Kawhi will get his 25. That leaves Amir, Bogi and maybe JMiller if Ty dares to play him. Like, at all. And sorry KDunn, don’t want you taking those corner 3s either. Would much rather have Nico taking those shots. Not ready to call Bogi washed as some have said. His shooting stroke is pretty smooth. We have no choice but to continue to push in some chips on the guy.

Precarious time for the team–thank the Lake show for that.

We can get something good for Kawhi still. I mean if the Warriors were offering a decent return for PG13 then we definitely have a market for Kawhi.

Been thinking about the two Lakers games..

A couple of things:

1) We did ok all things considering, we could have won at least one if not two games with some shooting luck. We did this with one good Kawhi game and one good Zu game. Dunn was exceptional but no one else stood out.
2) We shouldn’t make conclusions about the future without Norm in the picture. A lot of our wins came from his great fit as a scoring threat. Without him the chemistry with the new additions is messy to say the least. And we are over relying on Bogi to provide all the shooting.
3) I am keen to see Batum in the starting line up instead of DJJ. Harden-Dunn-Kawhi-Batum-Zu should work defensively and offensively and it will get things going. He is calm, defends and provides some spacing for Kawhi.
4) Ben-Bogi-Coffey (or Miller)-DJJ-Eubanks (or Kobe) should work until Norm is back.
5) Lakers are not unbeatable, they are riding the high of the Doncic trade. Zu had a party in the first game, he should have been used more.
6) Any two guard combo should have a shooter and a defender. I would even use Harden-Ben with Harden off ball. Once Norm is back scoring should be less of an issue and that will liberate everybody.
7) I don’t trust TL that much but we are stuck with him at the helm.

Oh HELL NO! Do not give Ty Lue more power to do his lazy reliance on shoot-first ISO players to cover-up his inability to run an offense. LF has been trying to keep Ty Lue’s insanity in check. With him gone, the Clippers will be pure garbage.
