Bogi’s ball handling and Batum’s savviness is a joy to watch.
The season is long. We might not have fresh legs to be good every game.
But when we need all vets to get things done, I hope they are ready for that moment. And I believe they will.

Lakers aren’t winning the chip. Lebron is too old and Luka just isn’t special enough athletically. This is the year we need to try to target them in the playoffs because given what our future looks like for the next several years this might be the last best chance to get them into the octagon. We cannot slip any further than 7 though. If Kawhi and Bogi can regain their stroke we will be in really good shape to play spoiler.

Was at the game. My observations:

1) great game. Ultimately came down to NY being gassed in Q4 due to the OT B2B. They were mediocre from 3PT line and then in Q4 they were 0-7. Also some bad missed defensive assignments I Q4.

2) Batum hit his first 5 3 pointers!

3) Eubanks was atrocious. Also looked simply awkward and uncoordinated.

4) how about this 2 Bogi putbacks! Our new PF, haha. Actually just nice positioning and timing, since he as so outsized there. That preserved the win.

5) Payne is annoying. Made his first 3 Pointer and over celebrated. Then he was atrocious the rest of the game. karma, dude.

6) Zubac!!!! Great game from him. But in the 2nd half he tried a couple of hooks from too far out and didn’t look good. I’ve seen him make those. But let’s keep those to a minimum. I can see defenses forcing him too far out in crunch time and costing us a critical game (or playoff).

It would be ironic if we do meet the Lakers in the Playoffs, and Zu does the most damage to them in an upset series victory. If JMac can hope, I can dream.

Thank you lakes for softening up the Knicks the nite before so we can keep things rolling. Bogi’s 12 boards may have been a product of beating the tired Knicks to the punch. Regardless, like Bogi’s versatility. Very good handle, passer, rebounder and hopefully shooter.
And, not to be greedy, but what’s Simmons’ return timeline?
As to the Kings, anyone know Sabonis/Monk status?

All things can be true. Bottom line is we only go as far as Kawhi can take us so need to push all chips in on his hopefully returning to form. If his terminator days are over it doesn’t matter how many touches Zu or others get. I’m still holding out hope.
